Welcome to the discussion group for division 803.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Welcome to the discussion group for division 803!

Please remember to post general questions and concerns on the main wall. This group will have a couple ladies with sailors in the 800 divisions to help you out, since things may be a little different than the rest of the divisions.

My son is in division 803. Any assistance/information would be greatly appreciated.

Yay!!!   I am so glad this is up!    I feel so lost with all these discussions that it narrows it for me!   My son is also in this group.   A diving recruit!

my son is also, are you going up to great lakes

So glad to be here....  My son is in as a diver recruit also...  Looking forward to getting to know all of you!!!

@Donna and emcambr1...we are all in the same boat.  I don't think any of us have much information about anything.   I was seeing where some parents were getting calls from their sons for more information for security clearances, and then some moms got calls from their sons to tell them the graduation date is the 21st and not the 20th.   I have not received any of those calls.    I am a helicoptor mom who is having difficulty not having any communication with my son at all.   I am sure he is enjoying all that peace away from me, but its about to drive me nuts!

@Felicia i hope you hear something soon.

I know what you mean Donna.  When I got the phone call, I wondered when he first started talking if it was a recording - I actually asked him at the end of his message if it was really him and he said yes and then the phone went dead.  I don't really know what to expect either and is hard to not know what is coming next.  I am very thankful to have all of you along the way to help support one another for the next 7 or so weeks and beyond.

@ Donna ...... i rec'd the call and was pretty much speechless (which was probably a GOOD thing !!!)

he started the call with "Good Evening..........."

@Felicia..............

i love the "helicopter mom" analogy.............

gonna have to steal that and use it with your permission................

that is EXACTLY how i feel !!!!!!!!!!!!

My son is also ! And like Felicia's is a diving recruit !

KTKAT...you know alot more than the rest of us.    Some of these moms have already gotton those security clearance calls and they screwed up the date of PIR for this group they originally told us it was the 20th.  It is the 21st.   So, some of the SR's have been able to call home to tell their parents the PIR date was changed to the 21st.

I wrote a letter to my son and told him I knew the PIR date was wrong.  Maybe he got it and knew I already knew and did not bother to call me.   I wish he would have pretendend I did not know tho.    My son is pretty independant and I don't expect to get too many calls or letters.    I am pretty sure I am more home sick to see him than he is me.
