Not true. it can come anytime in the last week up until right before. No one got a call two weeks early.

I was surprised and very skeptical to see a mom post on fB yesterday that she had received the "I'm a Sailor!" call already for the 11/21/2012 PIR.  She indicated her Sailor is in Division 011.  No one posted receiving the call within the PIR 11/21/2012 TG 2 – 11 Divisions (009-018 & 902) group that I saw.  Ten days prior to PIR has been the earliest that I had seen the call received prior to this--for the TG after Thanksgiving and also for the TG following a midweek PIR for Christmas.  Last week, some from yesterday's TG received the call on Thursday, which is unusual.

ItalianMom, don't worry.  If you have not received a call that there is a problem, then your SR is set to have PIR on time.  "No news is good news!"  If there is a problem that will delay your recruit, you will receive a call.  One to four divisions go through BS-21 at one time; with 11 divisions in that TG, I would think that the calls would begin on 11/15/2012, but maybe as early as 11/14/2012.  Send diannep a Friend request and ask her if she has the date for BS-21 for your son's division.

Moms with Sailors in Divisions 001 to 004 received the "I'm a Sailor!" call on 11/09/2012, so it is not possible that someone with a recruit in Division 011 got the call on the same day.

thank you so much for your help.  I should have known, the post on fb just didn't sound right.

You are very welcome.  Hang in there.  Your call will come.

Thank you for your response. I didn't think it sounded right. this is all new to me.

My son's PIR is also 11/21 and I too am anxiously awaiting that call!
