Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the discussion group for division 803.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Felicia;  I read something about our guys getting leave to the 30th of Dec.  We'll get them for Christmas lol!!!

Oh, are you going to any of the M&G's....I have found the one for the Ramada, but the one for Sarge, which everyone is said to be the best, I haven't found anything on it for our PIR. 

Going to the meet and great with Sarge.  I think that is the biggest and you would get to meet the most people.

Where did you go to sign up for the meet and greet with Sarge?

Go to events and you should see it Sarge's Meet and Greet 12/20/12. 

 

Christmas in November!!!! We just got our first phone call!!!!!  It was wonderful, hearing his voice!  He's doing great adjusting well, and ready to see his family!!!!  Says the letters that we are sending are like gold.   Love my boy/ SR.

Hey!  Did anyone else receive a phone call last night from this division or a letter.  Please share how your recruit says things are going.  Mine still sounds down.   The phone call was okay, then I came home  to a depressing letter.   I know the letter was written before the phone call, but I just want everyone else's take on this division.

My son called his girlfriend and she said he sounded very upbeat but he did say the feelings change almost minute by minute.  It sounds very tough and it will be trying for them all.  Honestly, I think that is one of their goals to make sure the guys are ready for the difficult things that might lay ahead.  We all just keep sending him positive letters and try to make sure the letters are humorous.  My son said that that reading the letters is one of the only good things worth looking forward to.  He did say that the guys have really started bonding so that will help your recruit cope too. 

Thanks SpecialK for sharing that.   I need to know they are bonding, because I think there are days when they just need each other.  

We got a phone call last night, he sounded upbeat...he says they are getting it together.  He also said that he legs hurt from running indoors, he was running 12 miles a day, but on dirt.  He wrote in a letter we got today that,he is hanging in there but it's tough.  We only have 34 more days and we get to see our Sailors....keep writing ladies HOOYAH.!!!!

We got the best of both worlds Thursday...three letters came at once (one for my daughter included) and a 15 min. phone call. The letters were telling on the commitment they all have made and the trials and tribulations of boot camp. Was sad to hear many SR's were being dismissed due to medical or plain stress and coping. In talking with our son, he was a bit under the weather, but confident, matured and ready for the next challenge.  He also stated that the group is starting to gel together and get into a groove...they are learning the ropes one day at a time and are forming a strong bond. Though I was not home to speak with him, my husband shared with us at dinner...and it made our day!

My son said the same thing ! !
He also sounded "good" and pretty upbeat . .
Said they REALLY get worked so much harder . . But he expected that !
Can't wait to see him !
Is your son coming home for few days after PIR?

Yes...we are in the Wisconsin area...so just a short ride away. He will come home from the 22 through the 26. We don't want him to use up all of his days right away.
