Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 037 & 038

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My mailman thinks I have lost my mind because I run out everyday to meet him. He said he is looking forward to the day I do get a letter. He feels very bad for me. He has known our son for a long time and I think he's excited as me to hear from him.
Does anyone know how long it takes before the recruits see a paycheck? I had seen that they get paid the 1st & 15th of the month. He has been gone since 10/23. Thank you for any advice
Our paycheck was deposited today.
I have checked his account and no check today. Is your recruit using the navy for a bank , our son has Bank of America.

My son's check was deposited today also. Woo-hoo! I hope he gets to call this weekend so I can tell him. Could be motivation for them!

When did your son start? Our son left 10/24 and there has not been any deposits yet.
Has anyone seen any pics posted on any web site. I have noticed that some people have seen stuff on Facebook ...how do you access that site... Because of the holiday (which I forgot about) I am hoping that tomorrow is LETTER day....PLEASE,,,,,,
If you figure out how to see the pics can you please let me know, thanks

Got a letter today! He says its tough, ALOT of yelling!  Still has a sense of humor. Says they live for mail! Says its great if you have had a hard day and you get to come back to mail! RDC made him the Division Section Leader so he said he must be doing something right. Said they have done extra PT everyday since they have been there because some of the SR's just won't listen so they all have to pay for it! Says hes making alot of friends and really likes his rack mate. Says hes hoping he can call soon but hes not expecting it. Closed by saying he appreciates even more what he has left behind and can not wait to see us on the 21st! Now my heart can finally stop aching for awhile!

Thank you for sharing this info. We're still waiting for a call from the sound of things we may be waiting longer but at least we know they are getting their mail. We are just com ting down the days until the 21st.
I am still figuring out the site and how I post things, so my apologies if I ended up posting in the wrong place.
Just wondering when we might hear from them for the first time? Do they get to call after a certain time. My son, Austin, arrived at boot camp Oct 24th.
Our son also left on that day and we are still waiting on a call. We got the I'm here call and that has been it, my husband is telling me no news is good news but when you see all the other families saying they got a call and we haven't it makes it harder. Can't wait until the 21st to see him .
