Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 033 & 034

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

So glad to hear your information Jeri. My son is Ship 13, Div 34. He calls my daughter in law who lives with me when I am at work usually. Don't hear much. He had been sick. Hope I get a call on Thanksgiving. Am wondering if he had to have wisdom teeth pulled like so many do. I won't be able to go to PIR at I care for my 93 yr old mother and can't leave her. So we all need to keep our spirits up. This is such a new experience for all the recruits and us parents also!

DocRenee - Sorry to hear you will not be able to attend PIR. They will have a DVD available. Write your son & ask if he could order it for you.

I was hoping the Navy would leave his wisdom teeth and, instead, pull his 1st molars! All 4 of his first molars are crowned because they came in decayed, as he was on antibiotics numerous times as a youngster. The antibiotics "killed" the enamel development. Pull the rotten ones & leave the new ones was my thinking...LOL

Oh my Jeri! I get what you are saying about teeth. I will see what happened to my son. He was actually sick and I think he is better now. Good deal about the DVD. How do I pay for it? I think my son gets to come home for a few days after PIR so that is worth waiting for. I hope they all hang in there and know things will get better later on.

Thanks for keeping in touch. I appreciate this site!

Renee

Hi, My son is in Div 034. In his letter last week he also commented that the Div was struggling. He earned a 5 min call on Monday. He said it was getting easier and was concerned on the cost of airfair for leave. The call was so quick that we didn't discuss dates. He said he would call again Friday. I'm assuming it will be a much longer call today! YAY!

I'm just praying that my call comes early or late today.  I have shoulder rotator cuff repair right in the middle of the day.  An early morning or about 8:00 call would be perfect.

But even if only my husband can talk to him, it will be great for one of us to have contact.  And praying for a letter today.  Thinking the holiday must have delayed them yesterday.

Yes I think we have to pay for airfare home since it seems they have a break before reporting to A school. Perhaps we can find out more about this soon.

I got a letter from my husband today (div 034) and he said he would call on Friday (today) but I never got a cal-- and I had my phone glued to my body all day. I am hoping it will perhaps come another time this weekend.

Navy Wife,

Didn't get a call today (Friday) either as expected. So don't worry. You are not alone. I expect something came up and they got delayed. Hang in there!

I didn't get my Friday call either. Hopefully sometime this weekend.

Phone Calls from Div 033 today!!! Hooray!!! :)

Just got my first real call.  It was wonderful. He sounded great, said only problem is the long days and hard to keep  track.  I am floating on cloud 9.  12/21/12 can't get here fast enough.

Glad you got a Call BradMom!!
