Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 801 & 802!!!

It only happens a few times a year when there are two special ops groups in one TG.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Bex1983 I didn't see any strollers in PIR.  The bleachers get full fast and there is a baloney but you have to climb steps.  Don't know if a stroller is a good idea due to the crowd.  You will be sitting very close to the person beside you.

Got letters today...more than 1 this time, more than 2 inches of writing this time, sounds like he's making it just fine- this heart is happy and full.  I can make it! :)  He did mention that he got a hit and couldn't attend recruit heaven- said he's a little bitter about that one (learning young son, learning young).  He said that he can't wait to run and he wants his running tights and his sunglasses.  He's sounding more and more like my boy. :)

What?  2 inches??? I got two pages!  And if they weren't on note-pad size paper, it would have been like 2 paragraphs!  lol  -- but I'm not the jealous type.

It was grrrrrrrrreat!- to hear from him.  He mentioned also that they would have been doing firefighting this past week-- letter was written last Sunday the 11th.  He was pretty pumped about everything and the feeling that they are moving forward, and ever-closer to PIR.  He mentions the good group of guys that he is in and that he's made some very good friends...  Isn't that wonderful?  I think that is just the best.  I'm very aware of the fact that these friends he is making now --many of them he will be leaning on, and counting on, and carrying on--- with them for a career... for a lifetime.  I love the idea that these bonds are forming.

He's really looking forward to finishing these final test, inspections and evolutions, and he's determined not to mess up!  They've come so far already.  I know that B/C has been tough, and that the RDC's are tough.... wait for the results.  It's an amazing process and the RDC's do everything they do banking only on results.  13 days until we see what they've accomplished.

Got a letter in yesterday's mail! Those guys are definitely counting down the days til they see us.  Prepping their uniforms.  Starting firefighting and teargas chamber.  Can tell he is feeling pride in the discipline and focus they have acquired.

I mailed a thank you note out to him for him to give to the kind folks who will have him for Thanksgiving!

The thank you note is a great idea! Nice to know they are counting down the days like we are!

Terrific idea Elsie....  now why didn't I think of that?  oh yeah.... I'm a man.

I just wanted to mention that I am flying to Chicago in ELEVEN DAYS!!!! PIR IN TWELVE!!!!! Yippee Hooray Hallelujuah! Almost there.  :) :) :)

This is going to be an awesome week!  I have no idea when, but they must have Battlestations 21 upcoming, right?

And Thursday is Thanksgiving Day-- and that will break up the routine significantly.  While nothing is "guaranteed" I think we are all counting on phone calls, with some even getting to see their SR's.  That is really a HUGE gift, since it is only on rare occasions that they ever get a day off/holiday/break during Boot Camp.  I don't think I've ever been more excited about Thanksgiving!  And then--- the next Thursday we will be there awaiting the HUGE celebration the following morning!  Are you starting to get a sense of the HUGENESS of this week. (is that a word?)

So it goes like this-- 4 days until Thanksgiving/Turkey Day--- we'll call that T Day... and then from there it will be T-minus 7 until PIR Eve when we get together and start counting HOURs and not days until PIR.

4 days until T Day... then T-7   --We can do that.  Somewhere along the way there should be the "I'm a Sailor" call.

Big stuff.  HUGE even.

Every Sunday I find myself  sitting in front of my computer watching youtube videos of other PIRs. I am so excited for this milestone in all of our lives!

Yes we can do that. Sooooo excited it is almost over. Cant wait to see him in uniform

10 and a wake up :)

Has anyone been able to download the gate pass?
