Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 801 & 802!!!

It only happens a few times a year when there are two special ops groups in one TG.

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

Michie, That is the one that I got. Mine is standing.

Hello, I am fairly new to the site and this is my first post on this group! But I am Mitchie's SR's girlfriend and it is great to see a connection between the boys and us on the site. He made it sound like he was friends with the people in the picture. I am glad you got to see your son:)

Happy Thanksgiving!

My son was among those who went to the VFW today. We are so grateful to them for hosting our sons. They are having a good day and we've been treated to several phone calls... Mom, Dad, brothers, Granparents, all got to talk with him, which has made it the best day. Thank you to those who loaned phones and fed our boys. I'm thrilled to hear so many are getting a chance to talk to their sons. So many questions answered, it's been a big blessing. I talked for an hour and a half! Oops! I'd gladly reimburse for any charges, I was just so thrilled to have a conversation. (I kind of like that boy).

Proud mom-- glad you were finally able to connect. We will see you at PIR and are looking forward to meeting everyone.

meam---how great that you scored a picture! We haven't seen our boy with the Navy cut yet.

---Getting so excited for PIR!!!!
Yes it has been a wonderful day!!!!! I got another 45 minute call and he was able to talk to aunts cousins brother and Grandmother too! Said they ate well and are looking forward to seeing families next week. just have to get through Battlestations..... They should be able to call again on Saturday. He was asking actually asking ME questions because they aren't getting much news and info about certain things. Only asked me to bring phone, boxers and a pair of jeans. he told me VFW was taking group pictures... Would love to see them. Please share if happen to have any :).

Proud mom, I did get a group picture. Don't know if your SR is in the picture. How can I send it to you?

meam, i would love to see a group photo :)

It is on my phone or my email. Let me know how I can get it to you.

Not sure how to send a private message on here--still trying to figure it all out.  I could send you my email:  is it ok to use that (it has my name in it).  Or can we "friend" each other on this site and send private messages?   Thanks!  Ok, I just sent you a friend request.  If it is easier for you to send it via test message, I can send you a message with my number.

I would love to see a group photo too :)

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to the VFW folks! Our SR said that they were awesome! He said the food was great and so was the company. It was such a relief to hear his voice on this very THANKFUL day.  Says that he will talk to us on saturday. Next week cannot get here soon enough. SO VERY EXCITED FOR PIR! And I want to thank each and every one of you. You all have been such a GOD SENT to us...cant wait to meet you all!

Hi All!  I too am so grateful for the connections we have made on here even if we don't know any names!  It's good to be in the same boat with you all.  We got 2 calls from our 801 SR today.  Both 15 minutes. 801 went to local church.  Said at least 3 divisions went and thought about 180 guys.  Took 4 buses there.  Applause and thanks for their service greeted them as they arrived.  Kind people.  Good food. It was so nice to eat at their own pace and to eat with both hands!!!  And they could smile and actually talk to one another without getting yelled at!  Lots of PT after Taps recently.  SO good to hear his voice.  DianneP I will PM you what I heard about BS for them.  Church member sent a picture msg with our SR and 2 guys.  Then he called 3hrs later and we got another 15 minutes.  VERY thankful today.  Will be looking for that Spartan and you all a week from tonight or at PIR!

Just saw in PIR 11/30/2012 group that someone put up a link to the church where they posted pictures of today's visitors!  Am about to go check it out to see if I can see my SR!  It's http://gcchome.org.

324 pictures, not one of my son :(
