Welcome to the discussion group for division 803.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

Felicia, just in case you don't get it on the page you made....GREAT JOB!!!!! I love the picture, and borrowed it for a couple days. It brought tears to my eyes, to know that one day that could be my child waving our great counties flag. Thanks. I look forward to meeting everyone in just 32 days!
I wrote the training command center and asked what day leave started for the graduates of 12-21 and they told me it started at 4:00 pm on Friday the 21st.
HERE IS SOME INFORMATION A MOM GOT BY CALLING THE RTC ABOUT LEAVE FOR 12-21.
GOOD INFO. PLEASE READ>
Update to my previous post about calling public affairs.....
I was told by Great Lakes A-School and RTC Rep those graduating 12/21 and attending A school in GL would immediately check in at A-School Friday after graduation taking 4-5 hours then would get Liberty some time in the evening but have to return to base 12/21 and would be not released on leave until the 22nd. I was also told on my call back from rep who "checked on it" that they can take leave up until 1/6 but would be going in the hole in doing so. (the 6th date may or may not pertain to other A-schools) They can return to GL A school anytime before the 6th if they don't want to go into the hole. (This makes sense since they will have already checked in.) Now in a letter I just received today from my sailor he told me the oppo
site of this and that they could leave on Friday at 4pm and had to be back 12/30 by 4) I mentioned that to rep she said she got this info straight from the man who plans it.... I also was told if you take leave the flight from home back to A school is at your own expense.
At GL A school they may NOT bring their cars to school however can bring cell phones right off the bat.
Now this is the info I got for you who have sailors who are attending other A-Schools...
The RTC rep said that the sailors had to fly to A-Schools first on Saturday to check in then they could fly home for leave....I asked the GL lakes A-School rep if she thought that sounded correct...she said she did NOT think that sounded correct...(Go figure?) So, I wish I could give you a better answer on that one. That is why I suggested contacting your Sailors A School..
I was told even in boot camp they would given the opportunity to make travel arrangements (booking flights) but I would communicate with your sailor on how they want that done.
I also was told that the 12 and under rule not having to be on access list was still in place for our PIR...(I know that was a previous concern)
I also confirmed that if you are bringing family onto base that aren't on list they can visit store or museums etc during ceremony and then join you and you sailor after ceremony is over.
I may have forgotten something... good grief...So, it seems clear as mud...LOL
Actually, I hope this helps folks.... sorry for any typos..
Felicia - I got a letter from my son today saying that they were told there would be changes in leave for those staying in GL for A school. He said they would know by the end of next week and would let me know for sure. Even if they have to go back for the evening, we still get them on the 22nd!
Thanks SpecialK. I got a letter from my son today and he still did not give details.
I received a phone call about a week ago and my son said he would be getting leave. Well, I received another phone call on Saturday and he said is division (air rescue) would not be getting leave. It sounds like everyone is making plans for leave... has anyone else received the same info?
