Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 908.

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is a talker, always has been, and is a detail person like me, so he includes a lot. My husband got a letter from him today. Much shorter, but said the short nights and long day of training were the hardest part. They're all very tired.

My boyfriend told me he is also on the drumline. He told me in his letter today that they were doing some really cool stuff.

my boyfriend didn't give me that much info.. lol, Thanks. He did say that the div argues a lot.

I wonder if that's why no phone call yet, some of the div arguing and they're loosing phone privileges.

Probably, in my letter today he said that a few of them almost got in a fight. Thank goodness mine isn't like that.

I received another letter today. My son said "We are gonna come out of here strong because people aren't catching on fast and we keep ITEing". (Intensive Training Exercises).

Mine is like that, especially when he's tired.  Now I'm worried.

Hello to all! My daughter is in Div 908. We've gotten several letters but no calls yet...except that first one. Sad we can.t go to GL for Christmas AND PIR.

Hi, I am so sorry that you can't make it to her PIR. My boyfriend is in div 908 and even though he doesnt have enough tickets for me to see him graduate, at least I will be able to see him after. I am praying that we get calls soon! Is you daughter going to stay with someone for Christmas then?

Hi Catesmom! My daughter is in 908 as well. I was beginning to wonder if she were the only girl in the division since everyone else seems to have sons, husbands or boyfriends in 908. We still have not received a call yet...only 1 letter. It's hard not knowing what's going on. Each day brings new hope for a phone call! Stay strong.

My son told me in the one letter I've gotten that there are 44 males and 43 females, and "Yes, Mom, we sleep in different areas."  LOL.  You're grown, son.  I'll leave it to the Navy to worry about separating the boys and girls.

Hi, all! Still no phone call from my son either. I know we're all hoping for calls soon. Only 32 days, 16 hours, 31 minutes until their PIR. My husband and I will be there, along with my son's two best friends, one male and one female. I'd be happy to take pictures and offer hugs to our sons and daughters as much as possible if you're not able to be there. Let's hope they all get "adopted" for Christmas and get a home-cooked meal and some family time, or a nice dinner out with other SRs at one of the community events. Stay strong, they need our encouragements.
