My son is on ship 11 div 037, anyone know when his Battle stations is? He has said nothing to us?

Do we even know what battlestations is, or is it top secret? :) Does it last for days or hours????

jangles:  Did you click on the links above to see what it is?  Also, there is a video on www.youtube.com that shows some of it.  Very interesting.  CNN BattleStations 21.  Take a look at it!  The new sailors have signed a confidentiality agreement so they are not supposed to discuss the specifics of it, but you will get an overview of it on the CNN video.  Suffice it to say that it covers all emergency situations they could encounter when at sea.

This PIR group will do theirs PIR week over several nights (different divisions each night).  We can't post specific division info on here (but it can be private messaged).  037/038 will be the last to go through. Be sure to click on the link up top and read all of the info on that page!

BattleStations is 12 hours long.

Ladies, we cannot post the actual dates on here.  We can private message them though.  RTC told us over a yr ago that they want us to treat BattleStations as "ship movement" when deployed...which means....no discussing until after the fact.  I am keeping a schedule and have put down the date for 037/038.

They sometimes do BattleStations through Wed night of PIR week....finishing the morning before PIR.  Doesn't happen alot, but does happen sometimes.  No worries....if someone fails, they will go through again that night and should pass, and will be at PIR....maybe not marching because of being up all night but there in the balcony!

Got a letter from our son today - he gave me the date for Battle Stations and I sent it to diannep.  Things are going great!

So so sorry for posting dates.

No problem!  I get email notifications on the BattleStations groups so I can delete them if someone didn't know and posted a date.  It is just that RTC had asked us not to post them...no worries!

Please msg me the date for 032

will you send me the date and time it starts in a message

Diannep: can you send me a message about BS for div 033 if you have it? thanks!

Wow!

My SR's safety and that of his peers is top priority for me. I would take a bullet for my son, stand in front of a Mack Truck and fight "The Enemy before I would allow him to be hurt.  I know the other loved ones on this site would do the same for their SR's. Praying for our soon-to-be Sailors to breeze thru Battlestations!!  Amen

 Just sayin'.

Have a Happy Saturday!
