Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 069 and 070.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

I haven't made my hotel arrangements yet - wanted to see what others are doing first. I have my flights booked. I think I would like to go to the Thursday evening social event at Falnnigans. Is the Residence Inn close to base with a shuttle?

The Residence Inn is a few miles from the base and they do have a shuttle to PIR..they also have a shuttle to sarge's Meet and Greet and The Sundance Saloon.

I plan on making my arrangements this weekend, still need to coordinate with family.  Found out that my recruit is section leader!  So cool!

Did anyone in our divisions get a call?  I did not.....have not heard anything for a week!

I only received one call on Dec. 19, Ducky...I did receive another letter on the 20th...nothing since then.

Ok....I had been hopeful, but I guess the 19th was our Christmas call.

Spoke to my SR today, we were supposed to get calls on Christmas Eve, but their compartment took a hit on inspection so they lost the privilege :(.

On a fun note, the whole group received letters and cards from my school!  Or at least 069 did, she was going to try to get more out to 070.  Apparently well received.  Hope your SR's got one of them.....

Ducky - that's great news about the letters. I have not received a call from my SR today...:-( I assume that means he won't be calling me this time around.

I also sent letters and cards from my classroom...my son did not say if he received them......on a lighter note....our SR's are half way through BC !!!!

Did you also talk to your son today?? Half way is good - can't wait for graduation.

No, Stacey.. I only spoke to him last Wenesday, 12/19.
