For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Finding a Group
I have been looking for a group for the ship my son is on. I can't find one and there isn't a group for that ship on here either. Can anyone help me, Please? Thank you.

What ship is your Sailor on? If there is not one for the particular ship there may be one for the type of ship. Also, joining the group related to his rating (job/specialty) can be helpful. What is your Sailor's rating or current situation if he is in the PACT program?

We have compiled a list of Navy For Moms groups associated with ships (note: these are ships that are part of the Fleet). Click on the link below.

Some of the ships (most of the subs) do not have enough to form a group, you should join the Sub Moms group. Click on page 12, you'll find the groups just for minesweeps.
I looked at your profile, it appears that your son is at Boot Camp. The ships in boot camp refer to barracks. If your son is still at boot camp, you should join the group associated with his PIR date. You should be getting a form letter soon. In the form letter, you find important information including his address, his division number and his PIR date. We have groups set up for PIR date up to 2/8/2013. Be patient. A group for the next PIR date will be forming. In the meantime, you should join the Boot Camp moms group (just click the underlined link).
Here are the PIR groups up to 2/8/2013.
PIR: 2/08/2013 TG 13 - 14 Divisions (089-100, 806 and 913)
per RTC 3 guest limit due to many divisions.PIR: 2/01/2013 TG 12 - 15 Divisions (077-088, 804, 805 and 912)
per RTC 3 guest limit due to many divisions.PIR: 1/25/2013 TG 11 - 9 Divisions (069-076 & 911)

It appears her Sailor was in BC in October when she joined and she has not updated her profile since that time and if that is the case, her Sailor has already had PIR.

Yes, you can give the name of the vessel, just not where it is or your Sailor's name. There is not a group on here for just that vessel, but I did find others with loved ones on it in Amphibious (Gator Navy) (clickable link).
