Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 079 and 080.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We got a call yesterday. We were at the citrus bowl and had difficulty receiving. Took 3 tries to finally connect. He is really enjoying the experience, but has been pretty sick. Mentioned two guys by the name of Robinson and another one by name of Terry or something that rhymes with it. Do these names belong to any of your recruits. I think that they are sub guys.

Well, I am still holding out for a phone call.  Has anyone else on here still not heard from their recruit?  Getting letters and incredibly thankful for them...just so longing to hear his "Hey ma!"

Hi my3boys,

We are still waiting for a call also.  Hoping to hear somethingsoon.  I miss the "Hey Mom" also.  We have also received letters, which is great but not quite the same as hearing their voice.

I still have not received a call from my son as well.  :(

devon1991, we did not recieve ours either.  Today we got a letter and in it our son said he would be calling the next day which would have been the 30th.  I guess something caused them to not be able to or it is put off. How sweet our conversations will be when at last we hear their voices :)  Waiting can make it worth even more

devon 1991 and my 3boys,  We did not receive a call either.  There are a number of reason that they can be skipped over for this mid camp call.  If they are standing duty, have a dental or medical appointment, test scores, etc..  Still keep my phone fully charge and on me at all times just in case. :)  Received a letter last night and my son said that they are keeping very busy with tests, inspections and fitting for their dress blues.  He also said that they are now in a regular routine and the days are moving by much faster.

austinsmom-yes- Sarges when it goes up

my3boys- truthfully, wouldn't he if he could? soon.. its so hard i know

Happy New Year to all you Navy Mom's and Dad's out there.  Thanks to all of you for sharing.  Didn't know about this site when my first son enlisted a couple years back.  Has been so helpful this second time around with my youngest.  My oldest is now stationed at Pearl Harbor after 2 years on the Constitution in Boston.  So proud of both of our boys.  Here's wishing all our recruits a safe and Happy New Year!

FTLW- last friday when my son called he said  saturday would be dsy 3-1. what does that mean?

Thanks!

I am thinking that it is week 3, day 1 of training.
