Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 089 and 090.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello everyone! Did anyone receive any letters from ship12 div 089 yet?
Didn't get a letter yet. Hoping to get one this week or hoping for a call tomorrow! Fingers are crossed.
Have a wonderful day everyone.
@ Rhiannon I haven't received a letter from my daughter yet. She is in the same division as your husband. Hope they are all doing well. I've booked My hotel at the Ramada. I heard its a good place and they will have a meet and greet there as well. For rent a cars I'm thinking of calling Sarges I think its a taxi service. I need to find out more info. I didn't book any flights yet being that I'm traveling from Hawaii. Missed my daughters call on Christmas Eve. What a heart breaker it was. Hope you receive letters soon. I'm hoping I get a letter this week. I'm new to the Navy as well and still trying to figure out everything too. I'm so thankful for Navy 4 moms. so much support to get me through this time. Have a great day!

Hello everyone, No I have not received a letter yet. But I do know they can only mail out letters on Sunday. But they receive mail everyday. Same as us except on holidays. I know my recruit forgot stamps so his letter probably was sent yesterday so I'm expecting my first letter sometime this week. Keep my fingers crossed. I hope that helps. My recruit is ship 12 div 89

my husband is ship 12 div 89 and i recieved 6 letters from him today! im sure some are on the way to you as well. it has really helped me with the letters, i was feeling very out of touch lately after the call last week, and these letters brought me back up to speed on his journey. hang in there im sure your mailbox will have something soon!

Craig, do you have a link to the coin for Ship 12?  I tried to search it but not there yet maybe?  I am interested.  Have my own coin collection so my son knows what it is about and he would LOVE this!

Thanks for sticking with the DEP site and for the info, especially for the photo of the Triton....I wondered about what it looked like.

Finally I received a letter from my SR. By the sounds of it she is doing well. She says its an experience like none other. She tells me to hurry and write more letters. they really look forward to receiving letters. This letter couldn't have came at a better time, it's New Year's Eve. What a way to end the old and begin the new. Only one complaint she says breaking in her boots is a real pain. Her feet hurts...lol... Hope you all receive letters. Happy New Year to all.

I would like to send out a special Thank you to one of my daughters shipmates, I don't know who she is but on Christmas Eve or day this one special shipmate of Meles slipped a Christmas card under her pillow it bought tears to her eyes and also mine. So Im asking any parents whose daughter did this for mine, bless her heart & I hope and pray I will be able to meet you during PIR Feb. 8. My daughter said that her whole division got letters except her. I didn't receive her address in time to get a letter to her in time for Christmas and being that I'm writing from Hawaii I don't know how much longer it takes to get to GL.
Thank you fellow shipmate of Meles you are an angel:)

Oh wow kenna1024.  Reading this broke my heart.  It only takes a couple of days for me to receive my letters from my daughter, although I only just got the first ones yesterday.  My understanding is that mail goes out only on Sunday and my daughter missed the 1st one.  My daughter is in div 090 and I don't know how close she is to your daughter, but if you don't mind, I would like to write her via my daughter and let her know that you love and miss her and that she has many other parents praying for them all.

Aloha Kenna

This broke my heart, but it also made me proud of all the girls that they came together to help one another out.  It's amazing how a small gesture has a big impact and how she will never forget the moment of finding that card. (typing thru my tears!)  I wish I could give you and your daughter a hug - we're all in this together

Melanie

Hey everyone, I wanted to just say hello and see how everyone is doing. I was hoping to get a letter today but nothing. Maybe tomorrow. We are almost there ladies just a few more weeks. I still have my ups and downs. Missing my SR.

Hello everyone! I am finally joining your group after reading and learning from all your posts. What a journey we are on! Booked our flights this week and will be staying at the Navy Lodge! We received a lengthy letter this week that really filled us in on his day to day routine. Some highlights were having his wisdom teeth removed and being last to eat at each meal because he is so tall. Looking forward to sharing more with you all as we count down the days- 34!

For those that asked about the Triton boot camp coin.  Just go to www.pirgifts.com or you can go to http://www.ebay.com/sch/pirgifts/m.html

Thank you so much for posting this information. It allowed me to immediately find one, which will be something else I have to look forward to! Love reading all the information from you all about your SR. My daughter is in 090 and like everyone else is struggling with sniffles and snot (euwwwww...as she wrote). This is my first post, and my first time on this group. I'm playing catch up. It helps so much.
