Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 079 and 080.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

welcome selms!

we!re going to Sarges.

Ship 12 Division 080 Mom here! My son-SR-started bootcamp 12/5, PIR-2/1/13-we miss him so much.

Welcome Pben,  My son is Ship 12 Division 079.  Start and completed dates are the same.  This is my second go round.  My oldest son is in the navy also.  Have you heard from your son yet?  From the letters I have received it sounds like things are going good for their divisions.

Hey Pben, are you already on our PIR FB page? Please join us if not. Division 80 has the biggest list in our "Who's who" document, where we keep track of which division our SR is in [:

Mine too!

Hi Selms,

My son is in Div 080/Ship 12.  I am counting the days to see him again!  Yesterday was his first phone call home.

Almost didn't answer the call because I didn't recognize the no!  Actually I didn't answer the first time & when the no popped up a 2nd time, I did answer.  Thank God!  He wasn't able to call the first time they were allowed because he had had wisdom teeth pulled and was SIQ (?)  Recuperating :)

does anyone know, will division 079 be making calls over the weekend as well?  I am staying home... lol  :]

Does anyone know how pictures and the DVD ordering works?  Our son took a small amount of money, but not nearly enough to cover ordering pictures.  Will there be opportunity to order again if he did not feel comfortable doing so?  So many "mom worries"  My wonderful husband keeps telling me that I need to not worry, it will all work out.  Probably should listen to him :)

Thanks for any info that can be passed along

my3boys, I just answered the same question on the main comment wall. :) They are given a "recruit card" when they arrive  and if they have opened a NFCU account they will receive that debit card during BC.

Your husband is correct, it will all work out, they are taken care of. As for worrying...you will always worry that is our job. Little Bear Nodding Yes

To: My3boys, Perhaps they will continue making calls today because my son said there are more recruits than phones so it seems likely that not everyone could call last night.

YEA

We are home today so will be close to phone.  :]

Thank you for the great info in regards to the photos...and the encouragement about my worrying ...LOL :]

Of course I will just tell my son that I had it all together the entire time- haha

All of you ladies on here is awesome and a great help

"Talk"  soon

my sons a  yeoman too! not sure what it is but i think its great.
