Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 069 and 070.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

I also got another letter from my son who said they were told they would get a call on Christmas Eve if they went to church (which he did) and then they didn't. He didn't give many details - I think he also doesn't want to upset me. He also said the next scheduled call isn't until January 16th so have your phones ready. :-)
On the off chance that there is a SR who's guest list might not be full, is there any chance we could get an extra person on another sailors list? This guest would be a surprise for my son. Any thoughts?
Arent they partnered with 069? I get a letter from my son every week and he said last week that things were really settling down. He said that on Jan 2 "Hell Week" started which was basically the Navy's last effort to weed out those who aren't ready for the military. He was feeling pretty confident - yay! He said he passed the 9mm test. He didn't say in any of his letters that the group is having a hard time with anything specifically - and I think he would say. He did say that he got punished for having his hands in his pockets and had to do 70 push ups and stare at a clock for 2 solid hours! That did not sound like fun but I had to laugh - I can totally see him doing that. He sounded really upbeat and said he is realizing his full potential, learning a lot and really glad he is doing it. He also said our next call will come on January 16th.
Not every day - but I do get a letter once a week - usually on Wednesday. He's been very good about writing, thank goodness. He writes his girlfriend too and she shares each letter which has great stories! but no news is good news - sounds like your son is well on his way to being a SAILOR!! I am so excited. The 25th is just around the corner!!
Did anyone else get a call yesterday? My son called his girlfriend, said they got to make a 10 minute call for good behavior!! He sounds great. He said hell week (last week) wasn't as bad as they made it sound. He was one of 2 people out fo 150 who got a medal and ribbon for expert marksman - YAY! I was so proud. Maybe I shouldn't say that here....but I am so overjoyed! He wrote a 7 page letter detailing his days in boot camp and said their RDC played music on New Years Eve which was a HUGE deal to the guys. He was hoping that the RDC might just be in a good enough mood to play more music on Sunday. He also said they are getting to sleep a little longer now (up at 5am instead of 3 or 4) and that extra hour or two makes a huge difference. He sounds so good. Moms - we are SO close - TWO weeks from today and we see our kids become Sailors.
Hi i am trying to find out how to get parking passes for the base on graduation day my daughters division is 069 and 070
You should have gotten a letter awhile back with your SR's guest list on it.... Included in that letter is a website and a password to where you can download the parking pass. I think I got mine within the first week of December, but the pass has only been open to print for a few days now. It was a typed letter from the Navy with lots of information on it. Good luck!
