Welcome to the Division Discussion for division 806.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there ladies!!!

Hi all!
My son is in DIV 806. We have been blessed with 2 phone calls other than the "I am here" one. He called Sat. 12/15 after the Connecticut tragedy. He said his RTC thought it was important for them to touch base, but they only had a minute. We did get a call around lunch time on Christmas Day. Our immediate family (Dad, myself, older sister and younger sister) were together at my daughter's house so we put him on speaker phone so everyone could hear him. His sisters are not at home anymore either so they had not talked to him on the earlier calls. It did them a world of good to hear from their brother! It definitely made it a Merry Christmas!
Does anyone know how liberty will work after PIR if your SR is staying for EOD prep? We were told he would stay in Great Lakes 3 weeks after PIR for EOD prep school, then head to Dive School, etc. Any enlightenment on the expected schedule after PIR would be appreciated!
Thanks!
@LadyHawk
He said it was going well. He liked his RTC and it was pretty much what he expected. He said something about still being in processing but we weren't sure what he meant to know to ask him to clarify. This was on Christmas Day. He did say on Christmas they were getting some down time to make phone calls, write letters and study. He was going to study when he got off the phone. He sounded good, maybe a little tired but it may have been that he was just trying to talk quietly on the phone.
He had a really good mentor during his 6 months of DEP and his every other week PST. The mentor was a retired Navy Seal Commander....he made sure they had a realistic view of what to expect... or at least that is what my son said.
Hope this helps!
my son had almost 3 months of PST and loved it our recruiter has been very amazing and it really impressed me when they remember on the phone me and the kind words of encouragement and uplifting praise about my son..... oohrah
good advise, hope you had good holidays, still miss him today is 3 weeks I'm excited to get that call.... this site has been a life line for me and my family
Happy New Year everyone! I know I saw the discussion about PIR gifts and getting the coin for our sailor. I can't find the links or information on where to order the coin. Any help would be appreciated!
I haven't gotten any other calls or letters other than the I'm here call and Form Letter. I have been so worried. Especially seeing other moms have gotten multiple calls and letters.
Thanks for sharing Keke. No letter again today :(
I hope we both get one soon.
