Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 099 and 100.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is Ship 13 Div 100.  I was glad to get a call on Thursday from a tired but determined SR.  Looking forward to graduation, I was surprised how fast it is coming! We just flew into Chicago for the holidays, now we will be heading back.  Joy to all :)

My Sr is ship 13 div 99, I got letters today! So excited, they where written on Christmas Day

Hoping all of you get a letter soon! He said they got an hour to write letters, and dinner was awesome with extra time to eat, prime rib, turkey, apple pie and even Christmas tree cookies. He said boot camp is definitely not summer camp but its alright and he luckily has not been in any trouble. The most important part of his letter was that he told me where he stands when they march and made reference to the fact that will be his position for PIR, good to know, may be easier to find them.

Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year and you all get letters to brighten you day! See you at PIR

My SR is also in Ship 13 div 099!  So proud of him!

so is mine. welcome

Just made hotel reservations for PIR!  Can't wait to see my SR and meet some of you.  Hope my SR knows yours.  He told me names of those bunking around him just don't know if I can post that on here.  Does anyone know??  He was busy writing as I got 2 letters (same envelope just written on different days), and his 3 sisters all got 2 letters and his gf got 4!  Hope that continues.  Hope everyone got letters and now just waiting for the phone call!

My son and eldest of 3, (two sister's at home) is also on Ship 13 Div 099.  I got my first and hopfuly not last, letter on New Year's Eve.  Nice way to start my New Year, that's for sure.  It was hard waiting for that first letter.  So hard that I started cry last Saturday night and couldn't stop.  Then I spent the next day in bed.  I knew I'd miss him, but it took my by surprise at how much.  It would have been easier for me if he hadn't started boot camp with a bad tooth, a tooth that he didn't want to make a big deal about before leaving.  All I kept thinking is, he's in pain and having to deal with the hardest, most demanding week or weeks of his life and he has to start it like that.  I still don't know if he got it taken care of.  He didn't mention it in his letter.  He did say that he didn't think he would miss us as much as he does and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel, a long tunnel.  I say good-morning (every morning) to him and I say good-night every night.  It's what I need to do to help me feel still connected to him.  08 Feb 13 can't get here any faster.  Thank you for letting me vent here.  Happy New Year & hoping to meet some or most of you at PIR.

Just booked our hotel at the Naval Loge, its only 1.5 miles from the training center. Next is the flight.

that is such a long time to be away without being able to talk. Im cheering for your SR!!

Much thanks to those who put together and run this site and for the knowledge and information that's posted!

My son is also Ship 13 Div 099.  We received the form letter with mailing address Christmas Eve then his first "real" letter New Years Eve (said that was their Christmas gift from their RDC).  Made the holidays much more meaningful. And, we received another letter, dated 1/1, today.  Overall, sounds like things are going as well as can be though I did get a kick out of him asking us to "write as much as you can and send pictures too, please!"

We've made our reservations for Feb 7-10, staying at Ramada Inn.

Again, thanks to all here!

thank you for sharing what your SR wrote!! It isnt the same at all without them!!

FYI we booked at the naval lodge 1.5 miles from the base at @65 a nite, not bad.

well another letter yesterday but no phone call.. would just like to hear his voice. Made reservations for the 7 & 8 at residence.  Going to sargues meet and greet.  Know there is talk about identifying ship 13 div 099 & 100(brother div) Any cheap and simple ideas out there. I keep thinking it should be something to take/wear to graduation too. could let our SR know and they might by t be able to spot us too. Also saw today someone suggested binoculars.  I got mine out and started my pile of things to bring.
