In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for division 806.
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

LADYHAWK hearing that you have heard from your SR is great. I came home to an empty mailbox but I am happy to know all is well! I just figure the mail is moving slow! (cross fingers for tomorrow) The inspirational quotes are a great idea. I know that they will help. I read those quotes and it helped me feel better after a LONG day at work!
To hear that they are ahead in weeks is great also!

Hello 806, I am a little late joining in as a veteran mom. My son's PIR was Oct 2010. The best part of having a group like this is that most of you are feeling the same feelings, missing your loved one, lack of communication, and waiting, waiting, waiting. Waiting for letters and phone calls. Remember "No News is Good News" and "Hurry up and wait" are words to live by on this journey.
If there is anything you need to know, Cor and I will do our best to help.

LadyHawk my son started out with a SEAL contract that continued for almost a year before being medically dropped. He continued on as a Airman assigned to a squadron in Virginia Beach. I also have a older son who is a Seabee stationed in Cali right now.

Who would ever guess that the mail lady, paper and ink with your childs handwriting could make someone so happy and proud. He said that they have a test on Monday and if they all pass they may be able to make a 30 minute call home. Also his bunkmate is a 22 y/o from PA. My SR is the youngest in the entire 806 division.

Good Evening! We received letters, yes, letters today! I am so relieved. It is amazing how much energy a few letters from your SR can give you. I cleaned, cooked and grocery shopped today with such enthusiasm! He looks forward to going to the chapel (imagine that!) He has finally recovered from the peanut butter shot! LOL! He is truely proud of his division and want us to pray, pray, pray for them. He asks that the letters keep coming and loved that his brother and sister are writing also. He sounded better and better with each letter.

We received 4 letters today! He sent his sister a letter within one of ours and he sent his sister in Mississippi 2 letters! He sounded sooooo good!
He also said they are a push division so they will do in 6 weeks 5 days what everyone else is doing in 8-5. He said there are 81 guys in the division. He says the RDC's for their division have the reputation of being the toughest but they can see that the end justifies the means....they are preparing them for success! In each letter he says he is well and can't wait to see us 2/8! It is time to go write another letter!

I got a letter well 5 !!!! i Was so happy and so sad! My SR first letter he didnt get any mail and he was sad but the moment he realize i write EVERYDAY he cheered up! He told me he misses me so much and he had a fever and he passed out !!! I was like oh no I cant take care of him. He said the food isnt bad but my he misses my food. He said continue to send letters because I am his backbone! IM FLOATING ON CLOUD 9

Keke these letters are what keeps them going. They announce their name out loud if they have a letter. So imagine hearing their name and jumping into their bunk to read it. Its sad to think some guys never hear their name called. Some of them reread the letters over and over again just to have a little bit of home. They carry a handbook around with them at all times and sometimes hide the letters between the pages.

HI Cor, I have a question for you. My son is also Ship 04 Division 806 so he will be headed to Pensacola Florida right after bootcamp. We have planned a trip to Pensacola for the week of spring break which for us is Good Friday until the following Sunday April 7th. We plan to stay at the Blue Angels Campground which is military campground but is located at the backgates of the base. (so just off base). I read in someones post that the boys will not get any off base liberties for a while... do you know if that means he would not be able to come to the trailer that we rented at all? If you do not know, would you know where to point me to? We planned a big Easter dinner as my parents are also going to be there with their camper. We are from Michigan but my parents winter in texas so they are re-routing to come that way and stay.

Well we are half way...I wonder when we will get a phone call? Has anyone heard anything? I know that I have heard from Mom's of other Divisions that they are getting calls...I was just wondering.
