Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 085 and 086.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi bigzomom - i am not on here often, but have just been reading through the posts.  I wonder if our sons know each other.  We started getting letters at the same time and I got my first call since the first day on 1/4 as well, i missed it though.  I was so sad, but he did get to call his uncle and talk which was good.  Have you received any more calls.  I am soooo hoping to here from my son before PIR.

Hello mtnesting nice to meet you. I am glad your SR was able to speak to someone in the family. I am sure his uncle was glad to be able to receive the call. The only calls that I received was the I am here call and the call I received on 1/4. I believe that we should at least receive one more call, the I am a sailor call. My son did tell me that the div lost some phone time due to to much talking. I am praying for them all and I hope that you will receive a call from your son soon.

Well, we got a call, but when I tried to answer it got dropped or disconnected and he never called back or couldn't. I am having a breakdown right now. ;-(

So since. She is a girl, she could have been happy right? Did anyone else from 086 get phone call toady?

my step son called his mother I think it was last Friday but they were not able to talk long - not sure if it was because he had made another call before that that took the time away or if the whole group did not get but a few minutes -not sure.

Hi, I'm glad you'll are finally getting some phone calls and updates on your SRs. Even though my daughter is no longer in the group, I am still following the group. My daughter has met with medical and legal and will probably end up with a medical seperation. I am ambivalent about this, as much as I want my child home and in contact I know this would have been a great growing and career opportunity for her. She has told me how much all letters, pictures, and any jokes or funny stories from home are appreicated. Stay strong and remember you'll be seeing them soon. My thoughts and prayers are with all of our group and SRs.

Lydia, Sorry to hear about your daughter. Hope she is okay. On a good note, you'll get to see her soon. Thanks for the well wishes.

Thanks Linda, I'm glad you'll are getting your phone calls. I'm looking forward to seeing her agian, as you all are, but I wish she were still in there with the rest of the group being successful as your SRs.
I got a call from my SR on Friday too! So happy to hear her voice! She sounded so good! She got to talk to me, my husband and her little sister, but had to hang up before she got to talk to her older sister.

Sorry to hear the news of your daughter's separation. The best thing is (besides seeing her soon) is that she committed to a great thing in her life and she will find another path to follow. It had to have been a great experience, even though cut short. A heart to serve. :)

Hello Ship 12 Div 85/86 parents and loved ones!   I did get a call from my son on Friday.  I missed it as I was at a funeral, but he did leave a message so I was happy to hear his voice in recording..I have played it several times since...LOL!.  He did sound a little stuffy so I am thinking maybe he got the bug as well.  He called his uncle and they spoke for about 5 minutes.  He says boot camp has not been too bad as long as you stay focused.  He also said the same thing in the letter that he sent last week.  He says he will graduate on time...which is great to hear, I expected nothing less from my baby!  So proud of him and can't wait until the 2/1

Ok, I have a question? Is there any other 086 moms who read this? Most of you are 085, and I am hoping our recruits are together, it would be nice to see at least one more from 086. Thanks
