Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 079 and 080.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Where is everyone staying for PIR? I have been reluctant to book anything untill I get the official "I'm a sailor" call. Don't want to jinx anything. I am driving from central Illinois so I don't need to worry about transportation luckily. I am just overwhelmed by all the places that are suggested. And by the horrible hotel reviews I've read. I'm staying for 3-4 days since my son will be attending A school at GL. Also, I keep hearing that Sarges meet and greet is better that Flanigan's. Is that true? Who's going? I signed up for Flanigan's before I knew about Sarges. Guess I could cancel. I appreciate any suggestions! Only 21 more days! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!
Ship 12 DIV 080. We are staying at the Navy Lodge, and attending Sarge's Meet & Greet.
We are going to try the Ramada. We like to stay somewhere that has some type of breakfast. Just easier. They also have a meet and greet. Driving in from Michigan and not knowing what the weather will be like, we thought that staying there with the meet and greet at the same location would be nice. If you click on each of the events you can see who has RSVP'd for each. I am counting down the days also!!
We went ahead and made the reservations with the same idea of being able to cancel or change if need be.
Hi. We're staying at Marriott residence and they havebreakfast too. Dinner snacks too. Keep in mind. Sarges nearby with shuttle.
Hope your well!
Hi proud. im thinking Sarges is best from what ive read. look into residence. M y suggestion. good luck
Hey all, just a reminder, if you haven't already, please join in on our PIR's Facebook page. I have noticed that many of us have transferred there, as it is a lot easier to connect and share our posts. We also have a document under the page that we have created to keep track of who is who and what division our SR is in! Thank you!
