Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Yeah. The quickest 25 minutes of my life. I got, from his tone, that he's really homesick. He just wont admit it, out loud. Said he's making lots of friends. I really hope the talkers get their acts together. Also said he got a hit on inspection for dust on his glasses. Lol. Have you ordered a Division shirt? I'm getting ready to down load the form now.

I received a letter today also, was getting worried since I didn't get a call on Tuesday. In his letter he said he may have to have his wisdom teeth out on Tuesday, so if that happened then he wouldn't get to call. So I'm guessing that is what happened. He sounded homesick for sure even though he has been on his own for over a year, but I think he misses all his friends. He said all is going good and they took their first academic test and all passed. Yay! He did mention again about the guys that are causing issues, mostly back talking the division leaders, but he said they are coming together better.

I was just reading some posts from other divisions out of curiosity and the issues they are experiencing with the talkers is the same everywhere. I was starting to wonder if it was just our poor kids dealing with it, but that is not the case. It's going on in all the divisions, unfortunately. I hope they get through it all ok. My SR's last letter mentioned they are practicing for graduation and he is hoping their next inspection goes better. I hope so too.

My son said in his last letter that 6 people failed a test and if they don't pass on Monday (not sure what Monday he was talking about) they will be sent back two weeks. He also said that he feels 5 of them need to be sent back because they just don't care. I wonder if these are the ones who won't shut up. He said the 6th person he felt bad for because he was sick in the hospital for 7 days and had no way to study and only missed passing by one question.

Hi Nicksmom, my SR said the same, in his letter. He passed but barely. Said he has to study more. He was always one of those kids that didn't have to study. A test taker. Now I think he's truly being challenged.

Hi britefuture, my son has always done very well in Math and Science. English and writing are another story. If I didn't miss him so darn much I would definitely yell at him about his grammer and spelling in his letters.

Just got a phone call from my son in 092. They gave him a 10 minute call. So excited! They are alive and doing well other than quite a few with colds. He says to encourage families/friends to keep writing. It's what he looks forward to each and every day. He said that those who were working ship's staff on Tuesday didn't have the chance to make phone calls last week. He did share that those graduating in Nuke will ALL be flying out on Friday night after PIR at midnight. He said to bring "contraband" such as cell phones, laptops, etc. to the airport and not graduation since they'll have to be back on base for about 3 hours before heading to the airport.

My son called this morning too, but I missed it. I was at work and walked in back just as my phone stopped ringing. He left me a message though, and he called his sister and was able to talk to her and his neices. I wish I could have spoken to him.

Got a letter today. Sounds like the tension finally broke. He said there was a bit of a melt down in his division. Lots of IT again. Sounds like they need a morale boost up there.
