Just got info from my SR's recruiter that he is on Ship 2 Div 917 with a PIR date of 3/8. I don't know what all of it means sorry

You bet!!! our SR's are obviously together...and it is awesome to know someone on this site who is in this with me for the long haul.....I am so proud, I am sure you are too
Yes...Stephanie and Kyle's mom. For sure find division 900 on FB and you will find a nice little supportive group for infor and pics. My daughter is div 911 with a PIR of 1/25. They perform in the two PIRs before theirs, so my daughter had her first performance this past Friday. Cymbals in the drumline:) Do you know what your SRs are doing yet?
Ship 2 is the Rueben James ship...it is the performing division. All of the divisions are 900 divisions-that is the name of their particular training group. PIR is their graduation date...Performance in Review I think.
My Son is in AECF and the FC or ET gets determined at bootcamp....I am so new to this, but I did request to join the 900 page on FB and I am sooooooooooo proud (bet you can tell)
Fire Control or Electronic Tech....I think? LOL I know he had a contract saying AECF, and I know that has to do with electronics and computers. His personal goal is to get on the AEGIS, which is the detection system for incoming weaponry. Not like I am out in the dark, but the technical definitions and his explanations to me are different since I do not speak military...lol
yup...it is a different speak. My daughter's letters come home full of Navy speak...it is interesting to see the change in such a short amount of time, although it seems like ages. You are in the right place, and I love the FB page!
My son is Ship 2 Div 917 with a PIR date of 3/8 as well!
I haven't joined the official PIR group on this site yet cause I still have no letter of confirmation...does anyone in the 917 division have their form letter's yet???
Hi everyone...I got a phone call today from my SR!!! It lasted about 5 minutes and it was SO GREAT to hear his voice...he's doing great, he said he's been sick from the dry weather...said it is really cold, but they get bundled up very well!!! He did give me information on his Div....so proud of my SR...he said they are getting letters!!! What a fantastic way to end my Friday and start the weekend :)...can not smile enough!!! He sounded different as if he has grown up a little...WOW!!!
YAY congrats for the call and thanks for letting us know they are getting their mail !!!!!
My daughter is in Div 917 too, I'm still waiting for a letter or call... Haven't heard her voice since I received the "I'm here" call on the 14th, her dad and I are missing her! We're anxiously waiting any sort of communication, eager to hear all about her journey thus far.
What do the performing divisions do exactly?
