In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 091 and 092.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Yaaa..got a letter from my SR too. So happy to hear from him. He mentioned also that they were still struggling with some of the recruits just not wanting to listen and they just didn't want to learn simple things like folding blankets He sounded a bit frustrated. But, he is getting exciting for the up coming weeks events, various inspections, Marlinspike, BS, etc. So he had something to look forward to. He worries about the unit not getting higher scores for graduation because of the few that won't try hard. But said he will not let it get him down and he will not stop caring. I like his attitude, staying positive and I hope they all try and stay positive. He is so awesome.

LisaS I also got a letter and my SR said the same thing that hey got "beat" because some had not folded their blankets. I think some of the guys need to take them to the side and give them a good talking to. Anyway he said that they had to stay in the push up position for 1 hour, doing "10 counts" and flutter kicks. So poor guys are having a time with some of their shipmates. I am proud of them for sticking with it and keeping their heads up. However, he is counting down. I think he mentioned it at least 3 times in a letter that was only 10 lines. haha. I am so looking forward to Feb 8

I received a letter yesterday. It was short. He also said that he would be very busy starting Wednesday. Hopefully they will be able to write Sunday. I asked him a lot of questions in one of my last letters, but he wouldn't have received it prior to last Sunday. Can't wait to see him :)

I just don't understand some of the SRs not wanting to do things like they are supposed to. Why in the heck did they join the NAVY? Did they really think it would be a walk in the park? I am very frustrated by those few...I wonder how long they can decide "not to conform" and hold the whole division back or at what point do they send those few home? I want those young men to do what they are supposed to do so they can grow into the best person they can be and experience the most growth possible while at BC. I pray for all the young men and women at BC but of course I lift up special requests for Div 091 and 092. After tomorrow, only 3 more Fridays!!!!!

I'm with you DNmom. I dont get it either. Obviously, their recruiters did not prepare them or they are just a group of non-conformists. My SR turrned 18 while at BC. I know that he's young and could be thick headed with me. However, he's been looking foward to this for years, literally. It burns me up to hear a "defeated" tone in his letter. So I'll send another uplifting letter to my brave future Sailor in hopes that it lifts his spirits. Come on Feb 8th..

Ladies, I am in agreement with all of you. Its frustrating that there are those that choose not to conform. I have spoken to other Moms who have gone through this and they tell me that at some point if they do not conform they will send them home. So they need to wise up to the fact that they could have been doing all this hard work for nothing because they were bone heads. Anyway, I am counting down the days as well and I don't know if I will be able to turn him loose when I get my hands on him. I have missed him terribly. He told me after the beating that he then had to RUN, across campus and back to take the laundry, He said that he was exhausted and would be sore. I hope we get to meet each other while we are in Great Lakes. Is there anyone whose SR will be going to Pensacola for A school? If so let me know, I live about 2 hours from there and will be going down alot while he is there and will be happy to look after your Sailors too.

Ty'smom, is he one of the laundry guys? My son is in the laundry room and said that he's made a real bond with the guys in there with him. He also said that they got to "miss out" on a 2 hour IT session to do laundry and search for missing gear, lol. I'll be at Sarge's M&G and hope to meet everyone too.

britefuture, I am not sure if he is working in the laundry, he hasn't mentioned it before, he is the AROC, and calls cadence for the division, but I am sure he does whatever he is told..LOL. His name is Tyler. So find out if he is the guy your son is speaking of. I will also be at Sarge's M&G. Look forward to meeting you.

Good morning Ellen :) Hope our loved ones are doing well today. I've been praying for these two divisions because I'm sure they are a bunch of wonderful young men. They're more than half way there, and my thinking is that if they've made it this far, that they can surely handle the rest of the "game". Have a great day!

My son's girlfriend got a 40 minute call from him today. She said he sounds great! He was unable to change jobs so he will definitely be staying in GL for A school. I hope everyone gets a call from their SR. He also told her that he got to go to Taco Bell. Inspection went great!
