OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Good morning ladies. We got a 15 min call last night as well. I didn't get on to post because it takes our computer so long to come on and get a connection. We could barely hear him :( We heard enough to know he was on the other end but we THINK he said they won playing Jeopardy so they got to make a call. I also think he said they had to be very quiet because they were on the quarter deck. After talking with a friend who has a military family she said the quarter deck is where the RDCs sleep so they were in their offices or something. She said that is very rare for a RDC to do that. So Yay for our SRs. He mentioned their division earning the 5 flags. We ask alot of questions but couldn't hear his answers. We ask him to speak up so we could hear but we did hear a "NO,CANT". He did say that they MIGHT get to call again on Saturday but NO guarantees. So ladies, keep your phones handy. I hope you all have a blessed day.

DNMom, Our husbands are communicating on Navy4Dads. LOL. He was telling me something that your husband had told him and I thought wow that sounds just like what DNmom said. Then put it together. Good Luck on the phone call Sat. I am sure hoping they get a chance to I would like to have a call where I can hear him and have more time.

Oh well, I sure was praying for a phone call yesterday. I'm going to stay up tonight until past time for them to be able to call. I think it's pretty funny about our hubbys talking..too funny!
Hopefully, we'll get to meet while we're up for graduation. I had a lady who lives in Chicago tell me about a place called Giodano's in Gurnee. She said they have the best pizza in Chicago. I'm not all that crazy about pizza but my SR loves it. I'm hoping we get a couple of days with them and not just Friday afternoon. Take care!

Ok that sounds good. Get there early, dress wam, sit up top or as high as we can get and my red scarf. I'm a jeans Mom, in this cold weather so I'll wear a white blouse, gray sweater vest and my Amercan Flag scarf. I also have a black p-coat that's really warm. Ooooo I can't wait.

Hello Moms,
I just received a letter from my SR, he was lining up the upcoming events. They had a big test on Wednesday, and have another next Friday. He said they get 2 more haircuts before graduation. Also he said they pulled up the Navy4Moms website and looked up their division, and saw comments made by us..LOL.. He said that Chief started picking out him because they read one of mine where I mentioned that he was AROC. At least he laughed and thought it was fun. Battle Stations are a week from Sunday. !!! He is very excited and looking forward to seeing us at Graduation. Oh he also said they will be getting their Military ID real soon.. Have a great evening everyone.

Hi everyone. I got a letter as well. My SR confirmed they've gotten three flags and have been passing inspections. He enjoyed Marlinspike and SAMT. He also said that he's looking forward to BS. He also said that he got MM. Which is what he wanted. Its amazing how much better I feel after reading one of his letters. I'm so blessed to have such an amazing son. Two more weeks.

I haven't gotten a letter yet this week, but I am so glad to hear the good news you all are sharing. It always makes me feel better knowing that moral and energy is still high. I am happy to hear they are enjoying some of these activities. I am sure my SR is too. I always worry, though. I tell my son that it is my job to do so and will continue to worry no matter how old he gets. But I am so proud and happy for him. I just look forward to being able to talk to him again daily.

I finally got a letter today. He said some people got to call last Saturday, but that the ones that didn't pass their rack inspection had to pull a name out of a hat and those people did not get to call. Unfortunately, he was one of the names pulled, so he could not call. He said that the mood was happy and sad, they go through periods of home sickness. But they are excited about BS and other events. He said to look for them in area 4 on the floor when they come in on graduation day. We'll figure it out when we get there to see where we need to sit. He was glad that several of them had finalized their PFT1 training because some of them did not pass the running the first time around and those who did not, passed it the 2nd time. He said that friendship there is great. I'm glad to hear that for the most part they seem to all get along. Spirits still sound pretty good, glad to hear that.
