Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 091 and 092.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello everyone,
I have to admit I was very sad because we (my husband and I) did not receive a letter from our son on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. MY son's girlfriend received one on Thursday and shared it with me, but it just wasn't the same. Well guess what my husband and I got in the mail today??? Yes!!! A letter from our son!!! I was not expecting it at all so I was ecstatic. I haven't stopped smiling yet. If only they knew what THEIR letters do to us. :)

That's good to hear. I was going to say don't feel too bad because my letter was only half a page long. My son said he had 10 min to write it and turn it in for mailing. But I agree, any letter is a letter that is looked forward to. I can't wait till they have their phones back. :)

Can anyone let me what they are bringing there recruit to take to A school or are you just mailing there civilan belongings? I was going to take some clothes and some of his electronics but I read they cant take them back to base in IL with them, is that true?

crittilbeau if your SR is staying in GL for A school I've been told they can have the above items once they move across the street to A school. If your SR is flying out you will need to go to the airport and once there you can give the above items to your sailor. I do believe everything has to fit in their black carry-on bag.

Ladies, please post when you get a call from your SR, with the "I'm a sailor call"   I would love to hear what the boys all have to say.  So looking forward to meeting all of you and giving hugs to all the New Sailors.
