Welcome to the Division Discussion for divisions 087 and 088.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Justin got to make another phone call this weekend! He is so excited that there seems to be an end in sight! Couldn't help but cry for the first 5 minutes of the conversation. lol
Received a phone call from our son last Saturday night. It was so good to hear his voice (25 minutes) the sound of music to our ears! Said the guys are doing well in div 088, they have earned a flag for the graduation. The have only 19 days to go (now only 14 days) they are counting down the days!
DaytonMom/Dad: Any idea of which flag? In my last phone call my son said the division was doing exceptionally well. (His definition might just mean they stopped talking so much.) Of course that was over a week ago and things change fast, especially now; they seem to be getting more competitive with each other.
CruAn: My son said they are doing well as a divison( 088) also! They won the Scholastics Award flag!!!
We are attending the Sarge Meet & Great are you?
Maybe are sons friends?
Is your son an Airman? Is he going to Pensacola,Fla for A school?
CruAn: Our son called yesterday and said the divison (088) is doing good they won 2 more flags they have three total now!
Scholastic Flag, Zone Flag, Athletic Flag...He said their division missed by one/tenth of point for breaking some Boot Camp record!!! Not sure what he said it was?
Yeah my son mentioned almost breaking some type of record too! Didn't clearly understand what he was talking about though lol.He said they might have a chance on earning an extra hour of Liberty time?!?!?! That would be great! I am so proud of all of them. The count down has really begun now. Time for parking passes!
DaytonMom/Dad, Justin's Proud Mom: Three cheers to Div 088 !!! My son's a future AD and will be in Pensacola for A School. I can't wait till graduation !! See you at Sarge's.
Hello everymom(one)! Late to find the website--leave it up to a mom going through her son in basic for AirForce to let me in on the support groups out there.
I have a son, Devin in Ship 04 Div 087; going onto Penn, Fla after PIR.
We live in a suburb of Chicago, anyone traveling from the south for graduation--bring clothes!!! Its in the 0-12 degree weather here right now. My 10 day says that weather will be around the mid 20's for grad time.
Hoping to meet some of you--or your sons!
Wendy
