Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 137 and 138.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi any ones sr in this division? my son is div 137
My son is in division 138, looks like they are in brother divisions.
Hi umphlet how exciting! So I guess they will be training together then. I hope the division is doing ok as a group.
My son is 138 too.
My SR I also 137! So excited that we got to talk to him this past weekend. Missing him so very much. How's your SR Doing??
I got to talk to my son this past Saturday also. He is in div 137 too. I can't wait to PIR looking forward to it. I have been trying to calculate what training day and week it is. He told me this Friday will be wk3 day1.

I received another letter!  From what I understand Ship 12 DIV 137 is a large group. He said he is doing good, just missing everyone.

Good morning ladies!! Im so excited to be seeing my sailor on 4/5!! I know all of you are excited. I got another letter this week. No phone call, I was expecting to hear his voice this week. He says they are all ok, however, some didnt pass an inspection? Not sure if thats the reason for no calls. Please know that my husband and I pray for our son every day, but we are also praying for your sons and daughters  as well. We also pray for their families as we know what you are going thru too. It has not been easy letting go, but our hearts are also filled with pride! I cannot wait until April. I literally have the days marked on a calendar on my fridge. I hope the weather will be nicer for all of us when we go. We live in GA and are not familiar with that much snow and cold temps. lol As I know my son is not either. I am glad there is such a site like this for moms of sailors. Its nice to get all the info and check on one another and hear updates about our sailors!!  Continued prayers for ship12 div 137. Hope to meet all of you!

MysonRJ Thanks so much for yours prayers we all need them I have also been praying for the divisions. My son wrote in one of his letters requesting prayer! He said that his division was having a hard time. I sure hope they start working together they are half way thru this. Yeah we are half way thru it. I'm thinking like you that's probably the reason for no phone calls. I have been reading alittle about what they are doing week by week. It blows my mind and so interesting. I really don't know what my son was expecting to do in boot camp but I'm sure he has a whole new different outlook of it now. I know all these recruits will be so proud of theirselves. Gosh I get excited thinking about it. I can't wait till APRIL 5th!!!

Thanks 1proudmom, I mailed another letter this morning and im gonna write another one later tonight. I hope all is well with our boys. I found the link to the battleships..Im wondering when ours will go there. It was pretty cool. I had no idea that it was all that! If you get a chance, check it out. I watched it step by step and of course cried at the end. lol Im so excited for April to get here!! Where are you from?

MysonRJ hi I just wrote a letter also I have only been writing 1 or 2 a week. He has got his girlfriend writing him also. I am from Tennessee. We're not use to a lot of snow either. I have read alittle about battle stations. I will look it up again so much stuff to read. I think battle stations is week 7 if I read it correctly. Was it a video on battlestations? if so i would like to see it. i think they are in week 4 now. Is that what your son has told you? How old is he? My son is 19.

sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Work has been really crazy this week.I have managed to write my son 4 times this week tho.  lol  His fiance has been writing him alot too. My son is 24. He had been in college for awhile and worked in the operating room at a hospital here. He has changed majors several times and still didnt know what he wanted to do. While his fiance had just graduated from RN school he decides to do this whole Navy thing. Go figue?? Crazy... I know. He had always in his heart wanted to join the military. It was the Air Force at first. I dont know what happened. He had lived with his fiance for a couple of years. Even tho he and I are very close, I wasnt aware of his decision until he had already signed up. It broke my heart at first, because I have a hard time letting go, but know I couldnt be more proud. I know if they marry soon, she can get a great job anywhere and hopefully, he will have a good career ahead of him. Oh well thats life and Im getting old. Lol I found the link to the battle stations on this site somewhere. I just kept clicking and found it. I will go back and see exactly where it is. Its actually a 2 part series power point. Going to call it a day. Hope the rest of your week is good. When we get up in the morning, we will have 20 MORE DAYS LEFT!!!!!! Let me know where yall are staying. Keep in touch:)
