Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 141 and 142.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

When we spoke with our son on Saturday he made the same remark; the division isn't (wasn't) working as a team and it was making life very difficult for all of them. It takes time, I am sure, since they come from all over the country, all ages, all backgrounds...I hope by now they are settling into a routine and becoming more cohesive.
My sister just called to say she received a letter from my son. As we live in the same town the mailman better not disappoint me today!!! Praying all you moms (and loved ones) hear from your recruits today (or tomorrow).
I am very much hoping for a letter today. Saturday my daughter also mentioned the division is having some issues, but said 142 was worse......I am sure that there are some in 142 that say 141 is worse :) It could be a good sign that they try to protect their own- maybe theres some teamwork there after all!
I finally received my letters from my SR today. I was so happy to get them, can't stop smiling. She said they were really busy and she is writing whenever she gets the chance. SoCal Ohana...LOL, I don't know about div 141, she just said that her div 142 didn't have there act together (this was last Saturday's phone call, so I am really hoping things are better and like you said, they are starting to work like a team). It will make life better for all of them. I hope the rest of you mom's received some letters and good news today. Have a great night everyone!!!!
hi all ~my son is in this division :) hope everyone in here is enjoying the ride so far! i received a call last Saturday, but no letters as of today :(
Is anyones daughter from Polo IL? My daughter was speaking about a friend from there
AND I got a letter today!! :) Happy Mom!
God Bless the mailman!! He did not disappoint yesterday!! Got our first "real" letter from our son. He sounded so much better than he had on the phone. Said most of the division was in tears on the march back from the phone bank last Saturday. Now I know what day to stalk the box...actually that is for our younger son. It is his job to bring in the mail after he gets off the bus. Apparently he came tearing up the drive, waving the envelope like it was on fire!
Hey ~ only five weeks to go!!!!
Hello Chris, you made me laugh, my daughter is the one picking up the mail, we got letters yesterday too, she wouldn't let me open them until she went to the bathroom and read with me. With all the worries my son have, he was actually making jokes, made me laugh too. Hopefully Div 142 will get it together soon.
Icelsa, I am sure eventually they will come together; I just hope it is sooner rather than later! The joking is a good sign! How are you and your daughter doing?
Thank Chris for asking, the first week was a little off because my youngest daughter and my son are very close(they have birthday this month one day after the other and is the first time he's not here to cut a cake with her) I think after she talk to him last week, she's feeling better, we'll take the cake with us to Chicago, we keep laughing about all the thing he usually joke about.
4 down 5 to go!!! :)
