Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 141 and 142.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

We heard from our daughter again today and as another mom stated, today was their last call til graduation :( so sad her daughter was not home with me. She wanted me to give her a big hug for her tho. Thank you all for the prayers for us grandparents. We know it's hard on our daughter, but she knows this opportunity will provide for their life in the future. She even told us that if she gave up now, she would regret it on April 5 and her daughter might resent her later in life, so she's keeping her head held high. There was no question for us to keep our granddaughter. She is such a blessing and the joy of our life. It's almost like starting over in our 40's....UGH. But I thank God that the transition (new routine) has gone smoothly.

Our daughter is going to A School in San Antonio, TX at Lackland AFB. Anyone else's daughter/son going there? I am so glad she will be a driving distance away, as we live in the DFW area.

Yes, we too received a call from our son yesterday afternoon  He wanted us to know that it would be several weeks before we get another call from him.  He sounded pretty good; a little tired and a bit bummed that he wouldn't be able to call again for a while.  Initially they were supposed to have an hour for the phone, but said it took over 20 min to march thru the blizzard to the phone hall.  A lot for snow our southern boy to become accustomed to!  Before he hung up our son said "Keep sending mail!"

Let's all pray continuously for our recruits as they step up the routine to become Sailors!

Just got an email from RTC:

Good Afternoon,

Recruits who graduate on 05 April are authorized a maximum of four guests.

Very Respectfully,

Thank you for clarifying!

It was worrying me - dont really want to leave anyone out! :( So glad it is still 4!!!

Good morning all!!! Can you believe that countdown clock? Yea!

I'm getting to the point where the beginning was exciting and distracting with learning all the new things, now I am kinda where its getting old and I want it to be over, but I want her to really get the most out of it :) its hard!! Cant wait till PIR!

Yes Ma'am!  I am with you on that!  We've passed the half-way point...

I am in complete agreement with both of you....Can't wait til PR and I can start talking to her more.  I think I was spoiled with the calls we received.  I was really bummed with no calls this weekend (even though I knew I wouldn't hear from her) still made me sad.  However, looking forward to mail on Thursday!!!

Saying prayers for all the SR's and their families.

Thursdays are the highlight of my week! Followed closely by countdown Fridays!! :)

Yup!  My (younger) son wears his running shoes on Thursdays so he can race up the driveway with our letter!  And I must say SoCal's Friday reminders are a wonderful treat that I also look forward to!

Good afternoon everyone, I hope you are as excited as I'm for PIR, it'll be soon, we are planning to celebrate his birthday and his sister's March 20th and 21st with their favorite cake, I'm bringing the cake with me, my mom said I lost it somewhere but I really don't care. My son said he's getting to be friends with SR's from Detroit, Florida and Cleveland, they're doing ok, a little worry about inspections but working hard with everyone in the div. I hope everyone get letters this week :)

You bring the cake! :) Glad all seems to be going well with your SR! We are getting there!!
