Hi everyone again - My son leaves on 3/6 from Youngstown, OH.  He has been in DEP since April last year.  We are so very proud of him & know that this is the right path for him.  Looking forward to hopefully meeting some of you at PIR.

My son left from Albany NY on 3/6 (evening)

Got the "I'm here" call about 12:30 a.m. Surprisingly did not sound tired but determined

That's great. My son left Wednesday, I got his call around at 12:05a. He sounded good too, which was such a relief. He was feeling down when he left.

Received "the box". Thought I would post here too. My son Ian left Monday 3/4 arrived at GL late Monday night. I was surprised to get his box so quickly. It had his winter coat, sneakers and cell phone. No cell phone charger luckily I have same type phone. Thinking of putting it on hold (verizon) I think he can have one at Nuke school in 2 months. He must have donated his other clothes and I'm sure they trashed his personal hygiene stuff. No note but he wrote his name on box so I knew it was from him right away. I just bought a new Navy flag and solar flagpole light so at first I thought it was that. Well anyway if you son/daughter arrived on 3/4 should get box today or tomorrow. Now the waiting begins for first letter.

my soon left 3/4 too. We got his box yesterday 3/7. I was surprised too. I thought it would take longer. No letter but he wrote his name on the outside too and it's messy handwriting.

Hi!  I received my box today too.  My son Paul will be in Nuke school also.  Put the phone on hold.  Save yourself the money for now.  I just just thinking the other day and I need a Navy flag.  I have one for the Air Force (for my daughter) but now I need one for my son.  Thanks for the reminder.  Take care.

My son Jacob left on 3-5 and will also be in the Nuke school. That is a good idea about the phone putting it on hold.

Thanks for the update I should get my sons box tomorrow since he left on 3/5. Let us know when you get your letter.

My son Jonathan left from Pittsburgh on 3/6 and is also going to nuke school.  Anxious for the box, missing him like crazy.  Reading all the posts makes me feel better.  Thanks All
