For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 139 and 140.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Sandra, I haven't heard my son's voice in 3 weeks as well. He did send a letter last Thursday and he sounded better than before. He mentioned that div 140 had received all flags but one! He will also be headed to San Antonio for A school.

talked to my son today, for other than navy crisis. everything ok he sounds great... passed final PT today all set for BS and expects to call tues 4/2 am after BS...will be so excited to get that call and fly to chicago on thursday!!!!.

Jessie...what will your son be doing? Mine is MA. Will you be at PIR? I gave my son some questions to answer and he mentioned a couple boys that will head to SA with him.

Do any of you ladies know anything about setting up a table at Sarge's Meet and Greet? I noticed that other Ships/Div are planning to do that.

what exactly is the Sarge's Meet and Greet? When does that happen? I haven't heard anything about it.

i think i will be around and might be able to help out too .... table for our ship/div seems like a great idea at sarge's..... i can private message you my cell if you want help or maybe pick up the nametags, tablecloths or whatever you think would help

I believe it was posted on the Boot Camp group page by someone from DIV 143/144 for the 4/11 PIR. From my understanding, we can request a table from Sarge for our ship and he'll provide one. We're responsible for decorations, signs, name tags, etc. I would love to do one but I'm afraid I may not arrive early enough to set the table up. We plan to drive from Mississippi.
