Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 141 and 142.

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Yea, I'm bringing the cake and I hope everything is going good with him, he sounded it a little put off with the behavior of a few in the div, I pray'll get better!

Hey guys...have a question.  My daughter was worried that she might not pass the running test. If she was held over to another division or sent to medical do you think I would have heard from her?

If they fail a test and if it puts them back, your SR is supposed to call you and tell you. Also, my daughter told me that up until last week, if they got sent to medical, they would probably find a reason to send them home. She said the girls have dropped down to around 20 :(

My daughter's knee has been bothering her and she got some ibuprofen for it, but she refuses to go to medical for fear of being sent home. Hopefully your daughter was not sent there; if so, you might already know about it.

My daughter was sent to medical at about week 2 for shoulder pain - they gave her some physical therapy exercises and she was on light duty for a few days, but is as good as new now and it did not set her back. I know she was terrified to go to medical and they ask them a lot of questions to ensure that it is not just being homesick or a previous condition, so its scary to go. They never contacted me about it - I learned about it on the 1 phone call she has made since being there. She is back on full duty according to her letters and is on track to graduate with her division.

If your daughter was held back you would know very quickly. No news is definately good news!!!!

Love it!!  PIR is getting closer and closer!

Looks like they are getting ready for PIR 4/5.  I can't wait, missing my SR alot!!!!

That is awesome! lol!

I LOVE IT!!!!! I cannot wait. We are flying out on the 2nd to head up there. We are so excited for our daughter and for her to be able to see her 2 yr old since Feb 11. She has not loved us as much as she has during RTC :) LOL

We leave on the 1st driving from CA :) A little road trip time!!! Woohoo!

that's awesome! can't wait     8 days and counting!  flying from connecticut!

Ladies, my son sent a letter and I thought I would share some of the info as it pertains to Division 142...Apparently March 12 was Marlinspike.  The division (not sure if just 142 or both) had 25 minutes to complete the program.  The RDCs were certain they would not finish in time and would get at least 10 safety violations.  (I'll bet they say that to all the divions...)  The recruits finished the process in 15 min with only one violation, scoring 9/10!  They did so well they got a Bravo Zulu - a grade boost by 1/8!  Then March 13 was Day 1 of Hell Week.  While some of this is jumbled, I guess the divison did so well during Zone Inspection they earned a flag (4.6).  And during P1/WT1 inspections the division earned another Bravo Zulu.  So while it sounds like they might still not all get along, at least they are able to work together when it counts.

My son is not the most communicative - or perhaps I should say not the most informative - so I thought if you didn't already know about how the division is progressing you might like to hear.
