Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 185 and 186

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My son is in Div 186.  Talked to him today.  He said he is doing good.  But I am now looking for a mom Lory with a SR Colin G. If this is your SR. Send me a private message.  Our sons are bunkmates. :)

I heard my sons voice yesterday for the first time since he left on 3/14; very overwhelming but I tried really hard not to cry while he was on the phone! He is Ship 009/DIV 185 and is the A-ROC for his division. I did have a notepad with me and wrote down everything he said so I wouldn't forget! I wish I could figure out a way to record it! Looking forward to 5/10!

Darcy- check your friend request:)

Wow, received another phone call from my SR, two days in a row! This may be the last one until I am a SAILOR call.

I heard they are in Hell Week this week, does anyone know?!

My SR is in Ship 9 Div 185, and he told me tonight on the phone that hell week starts next Tuesday. Tomorrow is 3-1 for them.

HoosierGirl-OK thanks, good to know.

My son called while I ran out to pick up dinner. But he did get to talk to his Dad for 5 minutes and then the phone card DIED :-( He sounded tired and said "hell week" coming up and not sure when he can call again. I can not believe I missed call! I really thought my husband was kidding since he called yesterday for 20 mins. Let us keep all our sons in our prayers. This is coming up on the hard part.....tests , PT, Battlestations.

My SR called again today after a call yesterday.  I thought something was wrong, because why would he call again so soon.. But he said, nothing was wrong it was scheduled.  He also said no more calls.  He did say to keep the letters coming.

Received a letter today. Great to hear he is getting adjusted to everything that is occurring there. I miss him but I know these weeks are going by quickly for him and the rest of the Div as they are keeping busy learning new things all the time.

I am really looking forward to PIR and see him after all these weeks in his graduation uniform with all the other Sailors.

I think Div 186 is going into the 4th training week, H-Week, does anyone know?

It's suppose to be a lot of stuff happening this week and they get up early to get everything done. Lots of prayers of support to all of our SRs during this demanding time.

It's getting closer to Battlestations then PIR/Graduation time!!

Michelle, My son gave me the dates last time on phone. Week 4 day 1   is Monday April 15.  I recieved letter on Thursday that found him in good spirits. Passed all tests and inspections! Said only 1 person in division (185) failed test but has chance to make up. I know they start getting up earlier and everything starts getting HARDER! Let us keep all our NAVY sons/daughters in our prayers daily.

Proud Navy Mom - I heard the same from my SR about the test!  Great News for the whole division!
