Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 171 and 172.
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.
Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.
Hang in there!!!

Hello,
My son is Div 171 Ship 03. I'm super excited to see him graduate in few weeks. I haven't heard from him in over 2 weeks but hope to this weekend. He made a quick phone call asking me to send his drivers license and ss card. Wasn't sure what that was all about. Hope everyone is hanging in there.
Glad to see I wasn't the only one letter free for two weeks...just got one yesterday after a long wait!
I'm thinking the same thing Tara re: the phone call. He kept stressing that during the last phone call we got - "No more phone calls for awhile" I did get a brief letter this week but I have also heard from other family & friends that he wrote to them. By all accounts, things are progressing as they should. I don't know why, but I am more nervous about Battlestations than I was about him leaving for BC. Maybe it's just not hearing his voice & being able to pick up on whether he was staying positive or if things were getting to him. Either way, it's out of my control . . . so I just keep praying & forcing those annoying demons out of my head.
I have kind of a stupid idea. If we do name tags, why don't we include our screen name on here so we actually know who's who since most don't post their names. Like for me Tara, 'Tara', Div 171 or something like that. Mine looks funny since I use my name....
It's not a stupid idea - I think it makes alot of sense.
Does anyone know if there is an overnight stay available if my son is shipping out the following day to A school elsewhere? I can't seem to get a handle on the time frame even though I've read all the pages.
Are you asking if your son can stay with you overnight? If your son is leaving for A School he will have to be back to the RTC at approx 8pm on Friday, then he will probably be bussed to the airport sometime in the wee hours of the morning on Sat.
Do you know where the tables are that they are speaking about? The meet and greet?? I'm wondering if I'm missing some part of the graduation. Thanks
