Hi Navy family,
If you would like a chance to connect with others who have loved ones at Groton.. join us on the new facebook group, "Loved Ones of Groton A-School Sailors." The group is open to C-school folks as well! Many of us have little experience with the way things work in the Navy. We are hoping others can share their experiences and knowledge with us in a more private (and easy to navigate) SNS.
Feel free to message me if you are having trouble finding the group on FB. I will contact you ASAP!
~ Betsy

Hello,

I'm unable to find the facebook page Help lol.
I have looked for this group on FB a few times, is there a way you can post a link here? My son has been in Groton for a little over a week his PIR date was 10-12-12. He is currently waiting for BESS to start, i=he is in a group of 300 waiting!!
Hi my son arrived in Goton on Jan 26th and has just started sub school
Hello. I am also new to this community as my son arrived on 3/9/13 from Boot Camp. I was able to give him his cell phone at the airport so we have spoken once a day since he arrived. So far, he is working on his qualifications and seems in great spirits. I think it's been a major change from Boot Camp, more freedom and he made some great friends that came with him, probably 5-6 guys, and they have all seemed to help one another out. For that, I am VERY grateful. I know VERY little about Groton, BESS, A-School and the SECF program in general and my son doesn't seem to be well-informed either so I am very excited about joining this group and learning all I can.
Hello,
The posts are so few and far apart in between. Is there a moderator to this page?

Perhaps I am too early, but my grandson has PIR on July 26. He is scheduled for BESS and then MT "A" school in Groton. I heard that there were gamers there. He would be soooo happy to hear that! :) Is that true?
