Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 812 and 813

Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).

sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining you to answer your questions about this "800" division. Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.

Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.

We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there ladies!!!

I know what you are feeling our son has called a couple of times and its all we can do to keep from crying on the phone with him but we want him to stay strong and not worry about us, so when we hang up we cry. I have been blessed to be the stepmom of a fine young man and his mom is a special lady, luckily we can cry on each others shoulders until we can see him again, soon.

Had a very nice phone call this morning, our son said everyone is adjusting and doing well.  The mail we send seems to be rather slow to get to him, sounds like about a week behind.  He said they dont hear any world or national news and would like to recieve some in our letters.  He puts a rather humorous spin on EVERYTHING so had his dad and I cracking up on the phone, laughter is the best medicine!

I am in the same boat (pun intended) His Mom and myself just sent my husband some wedding pictures we got back. It was great to hear from him on Saturday, he seemed so much more upbeat.

If you keep it small and it fits into a letter or card, I sent my son newspaper clippings and pictures. They only have a small box to keep personal stuff in.

Wahoo! I just talked to my son... Sooo good to
hear his voice.. Nothing will take this smile off
Of my face. Happy Mom.

got a very bright and early morning call from the bf this morning! He is doing well last week he was super pumped and I think the homesickness finally clicked in mainly the first thing he said was I miss you, Jack and Jameson (our dogs) it's cute to hear but I had to tell him it's only a few more weeks! It seems like every night his div (813) really connect and talk about the day. He made a little joke that as he is becoming friends with everyone in his div that I am becoming friends with some of their moms and girlfriends through here! Hope everyone gets a call today and they should be writing letters tomorrow! Have an amazing day!

My son is in his div and said they are a tight group ..

Our son is in the same div. he called his gf yesterday, he had his wisdom teeth pulled they gave him two days off to recover. Apparently the novocain didn't work too well and they had to hold him down in order to get all four out. He told her that he knew he wasn't suppose to cuss but he couldn't help it. He said they were all doing pretty good together.

OUCH!  Our SR's letter said he has to have his out too. So sorry to read your son had such a bad experience.  At least it is over!

I am the other mom that mom2navyson is referring to and my dad said the same thing happened to him so I guess some things don't change. But even though he isn't my little boy anymore it still makes me hurt for him but I am just glad he is ok. He has always been a pretty tough kid

Poor kid, that sounds awful. My son never liked the Navy dentist, never a pleasant time for him. They may  be tough, but still human.

My son is 812, he said its a really great group of guys.
