Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 213 and 214

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hang in there SMLMOM :) We're all with you in hoping our SR's do well along with the others in his PIR group.  I too am worried about the gas chamber and battle stations tests, but so far my SR has truly amazed me with his positive, upbeat attitude.  We just have a few more days until we see our "men" :)  and I hope to see you soon as well!

I heard from my SR yesterday, he sounded better! He said he's doing excellent in everything, I guess doing ROTC in HS really helped him, but he needs to do better in his running (was a smoker), hopefully he doesn't get delayed!! I have faith he will pull it together, as he said he is trying his best every step of the way. Only 36 days to go! I booked our flight for PIR weekend. Flying back late Sunday night, hoping maybe he leaves on Sunday. He did mention some very sad news, that an 18 year old girl, I'm not sure from which division, passed away yesterday. He said they had a moment of silence for her, and that it could have been a brain aneurysm. I am not entirely sure, that's all he said. Prayers go out to her family.

How awful...My biggest worry is something happening to him so far away from home and there's nothing you can do.  My thoughts and prayers to the girl's family.

My son is going to school in Connecticut as well.. which is wonderful since we are from New Hampshire and its a quick 3 hour drive and is next to Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods.  Not that I'm much of a gambler.  But it will be so nice to have him so close and hopefully be able to see him for his Birthday which is in August.

Ship 03 Div 213

We're in NJ and it's only a 3 1/2 hr Drive as well. It'll be nice seeing him more often!

SMLMOM - my son is also going to Connecticut for A school. His rating is SECF.

My sons birthday is in August as well :) 15th

I am so excited about my SR!!! I wonder what he is doing right now.  It is 3:50am here in TX and I can't go to sleep so I'm browsing through all the posts and learning what I can.  We will arrive 6/6 at the Ramada Inn Waukegan. Hope to see some of you at the Ramada Meet & Greet.  What is the difference with the Sarge's M&G? Any suggestions as to which one we should attend?

I think this is week 4 for my SR, it must be no contact with family because I have not received a letter nor phone call from him.  I pray all is well.

Super Cute Bunny Waving

I got some letters yesterday, my SR said it may be a couple of weeks before the next call, any one else hear the same?

Only 4 Weeks to go!

I am so excited that we are checking off weeks...looking forward to graduation. We are flying into Milwaukee and staying in Racine (WI), as it is not too far from the base and we have other family near there.  We will arrive early afternoon on 6/6.

Hello, so I know this is a site for navy moms but i saw that navy girlfriends can be on here too. I am a navy girlfriend and my boyfriend, ZS, is on this ship division 213. So I thought I would come on here and say hello to everyone. I hope you guys do not mind that I am on here even though I am a navy girlfriend and not mom. And I cannot wait for these next 17 days to go by so I can see my honey once again!
