Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 930

Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

This marks the third Friday! One Friday closer.

Good Saturday morning everyone, I have written several letters to my son..no no response yet, but I have asked him for names of other SRs so atleast if I ever do get a letter I can share with you all. I have been reading a lot and they have much more responsibilities so they are kept super busy. Just because they will perform at PIR doesn't change all the regular tests they still need to pass. Hopefully we will hear something soon. For now we have eachothers support. Feels like a big extended family. We have to be strong for them. Andd... For those that have other children please try to give them your undivided attention. It is hard for the others to understand why every sentence out of your mouth includes a reference to Letters, calls, boxes, and something called PIR. Hugs to you all.

Hi all! No form letter today either. I am not too surprised that there was no call as I know they have much more to learn and more pressure for performances that will be here before they know it. I am happy they are busy. .. probably too busy to even get homesick. It is good to be here with you other Moms here and hopefully to get word. Have a great weekend.
Good Sunday morning everyone maybe we will hear from our SR's today. However they may fall into the three weeks until a call. I was talking with my Husband yesterday and honestly I am not so sure that it isn't better for them to wait three weeks to call. Three weeks to form a habit and three weeks to break a habit. They need to be breaking habits of leaning on us and forming their new habits. So that is my take on it and I have to think about what is better for her and her future not what would make me feel better..lol! So that frame of thought helps me and maybe it will help you. Have a wonderful day and remember our SR's will be performing in about the short weeks so they have a LOT to learn between now and then.
Our kids are calling!!!!

Oh My Gosh!!!! Mommies I finally got my call!! Get those cell phones ready our boys and girls of Ship 02 Div 930 are finally calling.

My son sounded amazing. Very upbeat, and happy. He too said the food was ok he called it healthy so hmm lol He said he passed the swim test although he had to do it twice. He is playing his instrument during graduation yay! he has met some great people and  Baciandrio I think he does know your boy. He had two wisdom teeth pulled (Ouch). Oh my goodness I can't tell you al lhow happy I am right now. I saw the 847 number and I froze as I ran out to get signal the call dropped, but he called me right back. Oh my he sounded like he was great. He was so happy I am sooo proud of him.

Yesterday was such a good day....our SR was able to call his father, his mother and his GF (I am not in any of those categories!)....but I did spend most of last night talking with his mother about her phone call and with my daughter about the contents of hers.  And he did tell her that he knew what day he'd be leaving for Nuke school after BC.  So no more guessing about that.

He said PIR forms went out this past week and yesterday would be the first day they'd have a chance to write/mail letters.  Talk about being behind the 8 ball.

I know my SR has some sort of job (besides singing in the choir) but neither his mother nor his GF knew what it was.  I'm going to have to look up the ship's job list and see if I can match it up.

So glad I won't be spending the day stalking the postman.  Happy Monday!

Good morning!  I am also glad that I do not have to stalk the mailman today!  Although now that I know that my daughter is sending me a huge letter in the mail I will be looking for it.  She said that she has been writing some each night (about the day) so cannot wait to share that with you guys and any tidbits of their division.  I am praying that they all pass their inspections today.  Yep this is going to be a great week!
