Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 179 and 180

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

hello all,

latest letter from my niece states her div (179) worked firefighting techniques as well as the ga mask test. they have had their last personal inspection, last physical and last written tests done during the week. She seems excited that basic is almost over and A school is just around the corner

The PIR is so close

(edited to remove BS date)

Wishing you All good luck in receiving your I'm a Sailor Calls--

Well graduation is now just around the corner.just need to get past BS.Congrats to the new sailors and their families. we all should be very proud of our SR, who are now sailors

Good afternoon!  I am getting anxious and a lil worried...I thought I would have received my "I'm a Sailor" call by now?  :o(  Has anyone received theirs yet?  Will it for sure be today?  Please let me know if anyone has any information on Div 180.  Thank you for all the help out there.  I could not have gotten through these long weeks without everyone!  Take care and I will see you next week!  :o)  God Bless all the SRs and your families!

They said they start calling at 2:00 p.m. central time. Just hang in there and keep your phone on you!

I got my call today!! On the phone with her now!!!  Too happy and excited!  Woohoo!

Got my call about 2:00pm, I am so excieted ! Just think in a week we get to see our Daughters & Sons !

Hooray!!!got my call at 3.00pm

Also got my niece's call. She was tired but very excited. She was looking forward to her celebratory chocolate bar & energy drink.

Just a reminder that each division is split into smaller groups for their BS exam and they go on all hours. Be patient for your sailor call. Thank you for getting us through basic together. God Bless our Sailors

I'm happy for everyone that got their calls, hope those that didn't yet--hang in there.

I received my call  Friday at 3:00! So excited for her and ALL of our Sailors.
