Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 219 and 220

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Awww! That is wonderful that they let him call you in light of what's happened! Very caring!

Thank you so much for the updates!  Im glad your son was able to call home.  I'm sure he was relieved to hear your voice!! Lets go 219!!!!

Phones charged up????  Keep them close Moms!

Got a letter today and my son said they are all still doing very well. He mentioned the division score was 4.73, it sounds like that may have changed since the letter is older than Matt's call to his mom. It sounds like they are all working really hard together though, and this is great! He said they have flagged every flaggable event so far. They qualified with the M9 during hell week and had no failures. One of their RDC's was promoted to a senior chief and senior chiefs are never RDC's so they love having someone so experienced lead them. He can't wait to be finished and the isolation from the world is still tough for him but he remains positive. Be proud ladies. We are almost done!
Thank you soooooo much for telling us!!!

Got a GREAT letter from our SR today....Finally  things are going better for their division.  They passed a couple of inspections, got IT for folding however and paid for it for 2 hours.  Yikes, got ribbons for defense and marksmanship.  Very upbeat and one more inspection and they are done with RDC's (not sure if I read that right).  In anycase, much more upbeat, excited about BS21 and ready to call us with the Sailor call.

BEST DAY EVER!! Letter AND a phone call!!!! He sounds so upbeat and confident! He is looking forward to PIR and said they are working together. It was so good to hear his voice...I'm one happy Momma!!
Best day ever is right! Got a call and a letter too! He's doing really well. He said the division is tied for first with 213 and an 800 division and they are really working hard. BS date was set and he's feeling good about the group. Second PB shot today. Awards were given. He was 6th and although bummed, he was proud. I am very very proud! If your son won an award, congratulations!! It's an awesome honor to be selected out of 900 people! He says they may call again before BS if they don't loose the time again so keep phones handy. They are coasting to the finish!!

Got my 15 minute phone call!  Message me if you need the date for BS!  He sounded great and all is well with 219!

Hello to all

I have been poking around on N4M for about a week. (Wish I'd started sooner).

I actually missed the call from my SR. I almost cried...he sounded down, but could just be tired.

Does anyone know if they will be able to call again? I would hate to think I missed my last chance to talk to him before PIR!

I just RSVP'd to Sarge's Meet & Greet and am looking forward to meeting others who are in the same boat (pun intended)

Jane

There is no expectation of calls until after battlestations...right before PIR.  They may be able earn a call between now and then as a reward.  My son was tired and admitted that he'd be moving very slowly after PIR.

Yep, I got a letter AND a call today.  He sounded wonderful.  He told me they were in a 4 way tie for Hall of fame---with the Navy Seals and 2 other divisions.  He said he's made several good friends.  When he called me for the 2 minute call last Tuesday, he sounded very tired.  I asked him about it, and he said he was more worried about us, and that it was a really cool thing that he was able to make the 2 min call! I just wanna kiss that Petty Officer who did that!  I asked what his worst part of Boot camp is and he QUICKLY responded 'the shots!'.  He said he got another 5 or 6 today--with the 'peanut butter shot that goes straight to the bone and is supposed to kill any and everything that is growing in you"  lol!  (I'm a nurse and that was exceptionally funny to me!).  He is looking forward to graduation and A-school in Pensacola.  I am mailing his cell phone to my brother who is attending PIR in our place so that he can snap several pics and send to us so we can print off so our son can be 'represented' at his sisters wedding that Saturday.  I am not sure my brother will make it to the airport--not really sure when they even fly out.  BUT was wondering if anyone knows how we can get his phone to him so he will have it on Saturday (prob at airport) so he can have access to the website so he can watch the wedding Sat eve.  My son had indicated that he didn't think he could take it back to barracks after liberty the day of graduation but thought he could get it at the airport.  Anyone know how this works and have suggestions as to how I can get it passed on to him?
