Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 219 and 220

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hello, my son is in ship 13 Division 220 :)

Hi JennyG! My son is in Div 219. Can't wait til June 7!! :)

okay...i have questions....can someone please answer?  i read the thing on battle stations, but as a re-read it, it looks like that's only for the 800's?  is that the case?  and what is the sarge m& g?  i asked this the other day, but i didn't see a response?  thanks in advance for any answers!  ;)  11 days and a wake up til we see our guys!

krisnc, Battlestations is done by all of the divisions during their last week of training. Sarge has a meet and greet for the families of those sailors who have PIR that weekend. He is a great source of information about GL and what to expect at PIR.

You might try posting general questions on the main comment page, we sometimes overlook things in the discussion groups, certainly not on purpose though. We vet moms don't always get to the discussion groups as often as we would like to and things can be missed. We currently have 8-9 active PIR groups and over 80 active discussion groups, as well as several other forums that we go through so....

Everything and everyone is important and I do apologize that one of us did not get to your questions sooner.

what is considered the "main" page to ask questions to you guys on?  i understand about response time, no worries!

and i sent a message to sarge through his email, but hadn't heard back from him either.  he posted something about if you need transportation from the airport to email him.  we are flying into chicago midway, so i know we need to figure out something!

Krisnc - you are posting in a discussion group specifically focused on Divisions 219 and 220.  This discussion group is within the main group -- PIR 06/07/2013 TG 30 - 11 Divisions (213-220, 812, 813 and 930) * E...  If you post general questions in the main group, you are more likely to get answers since the main group is monitored by more people and by the veteran moms.

and thank you janet!  ;)  i appreciate it!

thanks for your response ellen!  i hope i wasn't sounding whiny!  i am still so upset that i just found you guys!  anyhow, 8 days & a wake up & i'm so excited!  i did just find a group from his a school, so know i am trying to figure out what he's allowed to have/what i should bring to graduation for him to take!  ;)  i don't remember it being this much work when i was in the navy!  ;)

Can anyone tell me when we should stop writing letters to our SR?  I know that there is some cut-off period before PIR.  Thanks!

We recommend sending your last letters out no later that the Saturday before PIR. If they are running BS the week of PIR they probably will not have a mail call that day. They will not have mail call on the Friday of PIR so...Anything that is not received before PIR they will try and forward, and most of the time it works. LOL

I sent my son his last letter on that final Sat he didn't get it while in BC, but he did get it two weeks later, and he only moved over to the other side for school.
