My son arrived today. Yesterday and part of today I was weepy. He called to say he made it. I'm sad, but proud of him at the same time. This is so hard!
It is a strange feeling, the feeling sad, yet proud. Weepy, but happy for them at the same time. I feel a little crazy at times : ) or maybe it's menopause? Lol. It would be great if our kids end up in the same division!
Soon we will have "the box" and " the letter"! Can't wait! Then we can at least write. We will feel more connected at least.
No box today. Boo
Hello! Wanted to pass on some info. I put my sons phone on a military hold. Make sure you have your SR's SS# handy o do so! One quick call and they will turn it right back on. Easy peasy : )

My son left June 18th from TN. "The Box" arrived on Friday of last week, but I was not here to receive it. I did get the phone call the night he arrived, but the background noise was so loud, I didn't understand one word he said :(

Sorry....I know how important that call is. Hopefully we will all get our boxes, letters and first calls real soon! I can't wait to mail my letters to him!! Hang in there....
Got the box today!!!!
So good to hear Kelly W! Hope you are doing well today, bet you can't wait for that letter!
All he sent home was his cell phone, charger and sunglasses. They were in a pair of new tube socks (?). Don't know where he got those, but on the tag from the sock he wrote "love you". Made my day! Looking forward to my letter and first call!
My son left June 15 th. I received the box today because we had been away for a wedding over the weekend. I can't wait to find out when his PIR is. I am hoping for Aug. 10 th. it will be interesting to see if my son calls us again because he is not a " caller."

Hello Reno Moms,

Just to update Gabe left yesterday. It really helped to see Kelly's post about when the call arrived. Now I will stop fretting.
