Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 307 and 308

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

New to group also.  My son is 18 and is on Ship 14 Div 307. I got his call yesterday. He was homesick also. I hope things get better for them.  This is so tough as it is but to finally hear his voice was good. Can't wait to see him!

My son is also div 307....it was hard hearing how homesick he was. But he said he had made great friends. I know it will get better for all of them. So glad we are starting to hear from these divisions!!

I got the reservation made at the Navy Gateway.  Thanks much to lemonelephant & OklahomaMama for the information.  I really appreciate having this wonderful resource.

That's great GregsMom!!

We are staying at the navy lodge as well. They were very helpful in answering all my questions. We have are flights booked too. Feeling more prepared now. Hotels and flights are booking quick.
I got another call from my son just now! He sounds great. Says he's doing much better since talking to me yesterday. He got put on the staff and helps with scheduling. He knows what they are doing every day through PIR. I feel better hearing the confidence in his voice again!

Glad your son had a chance to call again and that you both are doing better.  My son did not call again, but promised a letter home.  We only talked for 2 minutes on Saturday.  He has never been good at verbalizing how he's feeling, so I have to guess,  I'm sure glad other Mom's are sharing information as it makes it easier for me to know his Ship/Div are doing well.

I'm honestly starting to think I'm loosing my mind.  I know someone asked this, but what week is Ship 14 Div 307 in?

They should be in training week 2.

They are a push division. My son said Saturday was week one day 3.

What does it mean to be in a push division?  It seems like they should be farther along - doesn't it?  Maybe it's just me wanted boot camp to be over:(

My son said they would be on training week 1 - 4 today.  He said their first test is on Tuesday.
