It's all so amazing and yet so overwhelming and scary and nauseating. LOL.  I'm starting to panic a little...thinking oh crap we're almost out of time.  What about this...what about that?  thank goodness my husband is the easy going voice of calm. :)

Just breathe and take things one step at a time. Be sure to check out Things to Do in the Last Month Before Your Future Sailor Leaves for...; I updated it last week.

My son leaves on July 8th... He is the youngest, only boy with three older sisters. He is used to a life of being catered to in some ways since baby and only boy. I too wonder how this transformation will come :)

My one and only son leaves to boot camp on July 9th from Texas.  I sure am glad have this website; really does make me feel like all my emotions are normal and typical!  Thanks!!

Texas here too!! (south of Houston) My son leaves July 9th. My second child to go. My daughter just had her PIR on May 17th.

My son leaves July 9 as well.  Trying to make the most of these last two weeks. He has had several jobs (all at the same time) during high school and is finishing up his last week at the last one, this week.  I am very proud of all he has accomplished (he is going to be a Nuke), but still nervous and anxious about him leaving.

My son leaves July 9th.  My daughter just had her PIR on May 17th.   Here we go!!!!  ROUND 2!!

Oh lord, BellgirlinChicago!  Mine broke down this morning as well, with people calling her saying goodbye and then she got so nervous at the recruiters office.  I asked her several times if she was still okay with this, and she said yes, but I could tell it all became very real.  Leaving her room, shutting the door, leaving the house.  It all did a number on her.  Prayers for your girl!  Are you on the Moms of Daughters 2 group? http://www.navyformoms.com/group/momsofdaughters2   It's a great place to be, as well.

My son left on the 9th, how is everybody holding up? I think I'm in denial....lol

I think I am too.  :)  I'm in a fog, and tear up over the silliest things.

My son left July 9th as well.
Anyone leave out of Cleveland, oh airport yesterday? It was supposed to leave at 3:45 but was delayed due to the storm.
