For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

New Navy Wife: deers, housing, and moving
Hi I'm a wife.. Well I have a few questions:
1.My sailor and I just got married and he just got to his first duty station. We are aware that the Navy will not pay for our children and me to move to San Diego. So I wanted to know if any of you have any tips on how we can prepare ourselves financially for the move without Navy help, also how are we suppose to start this whole process of getting into a place in San Diego
2.I currently live in Texas and my sailor signed POA so that I can enroll myself into deers because when he took all of my stuff with him to San Diego they said that they needed my actual photo ID smh... Anywho I contacted the base here in Texas where I am located and I was told that I have to set up a appointment to do the enrollment and to get the ID card and the soonest available appointment will be Sept. 17 is that right like omg that is a whole month from now

That's one detail about separation pay... it is for situations where the Navy's mission separates you, such as school or deployment, not because the spouse hasn't yet moved to the duty station. Just pointing that out for those who are reading and wondering.

Thank you anti m... I'll have to look into the pod thing because we have 3 little boys and we wouldn't all fit inside the moving truck. . Orwould we be able to sit in car while in tow
