Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

My son also left on Tuesday. It was the hardest day of my life. Know I am waiting for the "box." I hope it comes soon. My son called when he landed, I felt so terrible he was very upset. When I received I'm here call, I don't know if he was better or if he was reading from a script. I have worried and wrote him letters all week. It has been a hard Sunday. I pray he is settling in and all is well. I can't wait for my letter either so I can make plans to fly out there. Thanks for all the encouragement! I've decided this is my new life line, no one really understands what it's like. My nephew left a week ago to go to college 45 minutes away. He already needed to come home. I feel like really it must be rough, I wish I could just talk to my son! Thanks Again.

bljrichards....my son left tuesday but arrived at BC a few hours earlier than yours, I'm sure thats why I got the box Friday....Confident your box will come today :)..
I really hope they get to mail their form letters today.. I know my son is lonely and is waiting for letters from us.but I am afraid to mail letters with the address the recruiter gave me in case it changed...uugghh.. today is a bad day for me...and my husband just keeps saying he's fine, and thats aggravating me!!!! -

Hi All..
My son left 8/13 and I just got "the box" today..
I miss him terribly and can't wait to get the date for PIR, anyone else that had a son/daughter/loved one leave 8/13 get a date yet?

Hi Marcelle a big hug from me to you my baby girl left on the 12 it was the most heartbreaking for me she never left my side for more than one week in her 18 years so I definitely know what u going through I cry everyday when I walk in her room but I'm so proud of her and I'm so eager to see her in her uniform thank god for this site it's so helpful :)

My Son left on the 13th also. I got my box yesterday. My sweet boy drew a heart in the bottom of the box with the sharpie he used to address the box with. Hoping my letter comes soon. Can't wait to make graduation arrangements!!!!

boocoo, still waiting for the letter as well.. recruiter told me ship 12/ div 387...but having alot of anxiety waiting for letter..reading some comments about never receiving letter.......and I really wish people would stop saying just look at it as he is in college....How in heavens name is this anything like college..I talk to my daughter in college 3x a day and she comes home on weekends and I always make sure she has money and doesnt need anything and tell her God Bless you and I love you everynight

I hear you Marcelle..its really nothing like having your child go off to college. No communication really is the worse part, like you said when in college at least you can call and hear their voice. So glad to have these pages to get through this with the other Navy moms..((Hugs)) to you all.

my son arrived 8/14. i got the box yesterday. im in town near his recruiters and fighting the urge to go see if he has his address/ship info. this is my second son to join, but very surprised im spending alot of time in tears today. some days are just rougher than others

I'm still waiting on the form letter everyday this week I'm rushing home to check the mail trying so hard to b strong but like u moms say some days r better all I want is to just hear her voice :(
