For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 381 and 382
These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.
Get to know each other, your SRs are!
Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Hello! I just received a call from my daughter who is in 381. She needed some information, and she seems to be doing well. I learned that 381 and 382 are BOTH integrated Divisions (men and women). For Hygiene and Sleep, the women of 381 and 382 are together. Same for the men.

Patty told me that they only just today started their training (I'm assuming both 381 and 382). Prior days had all been "P" days. Lots of yelling :)...but she said things seem manageable for everyone.

Just a little update. I got a call from her Saturday morning. She told me she had been receiving her mail from me. She arrived there 8-13, I started mailing 8-19 because the recruiter gave me her address. She was crying and homesick but she said it wasn't that bad, except there are several girls that just DON'T listen to what they are told and it gets them all in trouble. She said they tell you EXACTLY what to do and she didn't get how some people just couldn't listen!!! It was nice to hear from her and know that she is surviving and she is ok, but really, it didn't make me feel better. :(

My daughter Patty told me that there are a "bunch of alpha females" who like to strut their stuff. Hopefully they will learn to function more as a team as time goes on!

We got a call from our daughter div 382 Saturday also. She told us that 382 doesn't get yelled at very much however 381 does. We were super happy to get a call this early from her. We couldn't be happier for her, but we think we may be more sick for her than she is for us. She was sad that she wasn't getting mail yet I wish her recruiter would have told us she could get her address. Well her first mail call should bombard her with a ton of mail, we have been writing and saving letters every day shes been in BC.

My son is division 382 and he called me on Saturday morning I was very surprised to get a phone call from him so soon. He is home sick but said it wasn't to bad. He said the peanut butter shot was very painful. It was very nice to hear from him and know that he is okay.
