Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 379 and 380

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Oh that warms might heart cathy_mazz...except the fact my daughter is being mean...not like my bubble but we never know??..so all in all they are ok...thats the best thing to hear!!...thank u for sharing this

Hi Boo's mom,

I got a call at 9:45 this morning. I almost missed it but thankfully got to the phone on time. My son sounded great & believe me, I was surprised. He was not one of those kids that knew all his life he wanted to serve. He is 22 and it took us a while to convince him that this was the route for him. So hearing him tell me that what they have learned is pretty cool and  he is proud of what they have accomplished so far, made my day. He also said that they are in the building with the 800 units and that their instructors are seal instructors so he thinks that their division is one of the toughest. Of course, every recruit probably thinks their division is one of the toughest. :) Bad news i got was that he had a swollen ankle from the boots and was not able to do any physical activity for  4 days but says he is still able to graduate with everyone else and is back to marching again.

Oh good! I am glad you got the call and I am glad to hear he is back in action and doing better!  That would kill my son too, to have to sit out.  My son also told me that their division is one of the toughest, he said that others have told him that their RDC is one of the toughest.  But, like your son, he is doing really good and enjoying what he is doing.  My son is 20 and he made this decision on his own, I freaked out (not in front of him) and panicked when he told us he was joining the Navy! But his recruiter came over and talked to us for about 3 hrs. and then I got on N4Ms and the internet and started learning everything I could and knowledge became power and my fear quickly turned to pride and excitement.  EVERY single person I have talked to that was either in the Navy or has a loved one in the Navy said they loved it and it will be the best decision of his life!  NO ONE has said anything negative!  Hearing his voice this morning was so amazing but it did kind of make me miss him even more!  I am just blessed and happy that my  call was a positive one and he sounded great!  I feel for the moms that are getting the calls with the SRs who are sad and not happy.  That would be SO hard to get that call.  Prayers to all the moms out there!

Hi, Heard from my daughter yesterday for the 1st time. It was great hearing from her saying she is doing great so far.

No still nothing Boo'smom :(
Still nothing - I know in my heart our SR's are ok.
Hi Ladies! I couldn't sleep so thought I would get on n4m's to see if there was any new info. I'm glad our ship discussions are ip, I'm excited to get to know all the mom's! Hope all is well with everyone.
Good morning everyone, glad to be able to talk with mom's that SR's are on the same ship.

Hello everyone. My son just got to BC Aug 12 I have received the form letter and box now just waiting to hear from him

Good afternoon ladies another day closer to "our" day...patiently waiting to hear from my SR...have a great day and a great weekend!!

Hello Ladies,

Still no word from my son. I cling to the thought that "no news is good news" but I sure would love to hear his voice and for him to tell me all is Ok on his end. I have already mailed him two letters since i got the form letter. Hope he has developed a desire to write since it appears calls will be rare.
