Welcome to the Division Discussion for Divisions 411 and 412

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important Every single concern is genuine Every single member is important to us We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

My SR left 9/3 for BC.  Fed Ex attempted to deliver his box on 9/5... Form letter came early last week... Actually got a call on Saturday 9/14... it was so great to hear his voice!!  And I received a letter from him today.  He is doing well.  Not as bad as he thought it would be.  I know some days will be harder than others, but I am so excited about this great journey they are on.  So proud of all our SR's!!  He is in Div 411.  Wondering how everyone else is doing??

PamelaShip13Div411   I am doing much better since the phone call wasn't sleeping much before that, now so excited for my SR. Writing letters now and checking the mail daily for his. We booked flight, hotel and rental car too. Good to hear that he was praying for us just as we were praying for him. God bless our children!

My son called Saturday too! :) no real letter yet :(

My son called too on 9/14...I was so surprised and it was great talking to him.  No letter yet either though!!!

Hello   My SR is on Ship 13 Div 412 PIR 11/1 I got to talk to him this past Saturday. He says he likes it and the weather is awesome. I think his working in the Texas summer heat made him appreciate the 70 degree weather lol

Hello Ladies,  My Grandson is on Ship 13 Div 412.  We got a call Sat. morn.  It is so good to chat with the parents of the boys my Grandson is with.  Hope we get a chance to meet.  I wish you all well!

We got to talk to our soon too on Saturday 9/14.  That was such a nice surprise hearing from him.  He sounded awesome and said he's a section leader!! So proud! I'm checking the mail everyday for a letter but nothing yet.  He said they don't have much personal time.

I got a letter today!!! WOO HOO.. so my son said they have gotten "dropped a few times" I found out that means endless pushups... yipes!  LOL  So my son wrote this I think on Saturday BEFORE we got a chance to talk... sounded pretty homesick... he even admitted I was right about the humidity (we don't have much of that here)... but he is counting days! :)

Hoping the next letter sounds better!

My son is in that same division and ship.ship 13 DIV 12. Good to hear what you had to say. I am wondering how many SR's are in the group? hmm.. My son called his girlfriend and my husband last Sat the 14 early in the morning. for us any way..West coast time lol. He said it is harder than he thought. The hardest part for him is being away from his girlfriend..:)  We are making arrangements to fly out there for the ceremony!

My son told my mom when he called her that they were 72 or 73 in his Division.    My son also said he is having a hard time.  with the physical part and as well with being away from me.  :(

Hi everyone! My son is Ship 13 Div 412.  Good to be here with everyone.  I got a call from him last Saturday but haven't gotten a letter yet.  He's probably still reading all of the letters I wrote to him.  LOL  I miss him like crazy!  He said he's doing great and things are going great. That's what I needed to hear.  It lifted a heaviness from my heart hearing his voice and knowing he's doing ok.  Hoping to get a letter today.  I hope everyone else is hanging in there.  I'm so proud of our SR's!!!

Hi PamelaShip13Division311, you are telling my story. My son also is in Ship13Division411.  My SR left on 9/3 also. I received a hand written letter on Tuesday, He said he had "exactly 30 sec" to write. The short letter was wonderful to read. I'm trying to write daily. Spoke with him on Saturday, he sounded congested. He told me they have had multiple immunizations.  So excited to see the Sailors our sons will be at PIR.
